Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Hello - just got a AWD 3.3TT stinger and this is likely going to be my first upgrade. I only plan to use the Map 1 tune and don't plan on pushing it any harder. I know you can't give a definite answer, but are these tried and true to not wreck a motor/turbo? Do I need plugs for just the Map 1? Thanks.

I ran map 1 for months on stock plugs with no issue. Most will recommend upgrading though, but I seem to have been lucky (so far).

I just ordered my jb4 and hks plugs. What is the gap the hks plugs come at right out of the box? I see people having issues throughout forum and a little concerned.

Always check the gap on plugs before installing.

I have the HKS M40iL plugs for almost a year, I am running the JB4 and other mods and they have been great. They definitely needed gapping to bring them down to .022

Would I need the 16mm Spark Plug Socket Tool along with the BMS Billet Spark Plug Gapper Tool to re-gap spark plugs?

I'd suggest both. :) It's a magnetic socket and makes it easier to drop plugs in and out without damaging them or accidentally changing the gap. But our gapping tool is the real unique part you want. Lets you gap the plugs easily without damaging them.

I agree these tools are great i bought one a couple years ago from torque solution and always use it to gap my plugs. no more using the damn gap coin lmao

When I first did the plugs on our Stinger I had to use a hammer to get the electrode to move down lol. And of course I screwed one of the plugs up in the process.

Just bought the gapping tool. I also just got the JB4 tune in the mail, is there any pictures/videos for how its supposed to look for the 2.0L?

Sounds good. Looks all the same! The unit and firmware is the same between the 3.3L and the 2L, the JB4 detects the difference when you plug in the OBDII. On the fuel control wire if you want to attach that it's slightly different, we have a photo in the n54tech JB4 thread.

Hey Yemen. Here is the pic of my setup (with rough outlines) for 2.0L for reference. The location is a bit different from the GT model. Hope this helps. If you want me detail, let me know! Good luck!

Nice a Dyno Run! Cant wait. You can post the csv file if you want terry to take a look at it. Can you post the results of the dyno and maps you ran? Im sure its around somewhere but mod list as well would be nice!

Thanks for the help. I'll be uploading the CSV then with the dyno chart once the shop emails me my file.
Should have a video as well.

Definitely looking for some input from anyone familiar with tuning on these cars, especially from @Terry@BMS . The difference between the WHP and WTQ seems to be waaaay too much but I have no idea. Hopefully have everything together here soon.

Do you know what the numbers were? What kind of Dyno?
