Hi,

The other day I had a mild heart-attack when one of my surfboards fell over. It slid between the wall of the garage and the right-read side of my Stinger. I was prepared to see scratches all down the side of the back panel. Fortunately it mostly just left a streak of wax from my surfboard that I carefully cleaned off. But it did leave about a 2" square section just behind the wheel with very shallow scratches (or maybe marring is a more appropriate term). It's mostly imperceptible and only from a few angles.

Just wondering if a full polish is needed. Or if a waxing would remove it. I'd post a photo, but the camera doesn't really pick it up.

And don't work, my heart has recovered. My mind is still a little traumatized. haha

Mcguires clear safe rubbing compound. (Don’t be afraid to lean in). Ideally with a DA orbital. Then follow up with a polish... then wax/sealant.

Meguiar's hand buffing (the magenta bottle); push the terry cloth lateral to the scratches. It sounds like the damage is light enough that this will suffice. Once buffed out, lay two or three coats of Meg's cleaner wax in there to restore the full shine. (those are the products I have/use; they are by no means exclusively "the best")
