Ok everyone listen up. Amazon 10 bucks for stainless steel mesh. Literally took all of 15 minutes to cut and put in vent openings. Anybody can do this and if I had a nice stinger I would definitely do. Looks good keeps paint nick free and you still get nice air flow without the rocks and crap coming through. Just rinse screen with hose when you wash car.

I'm coming up on 6k miles and don't have a single mark on the doors. Do you drive on a lot of gravel/sand?

Here in Canada I know those vents just hold the pebbles from what the put down on the roads during winter. Some type of grill would help a lot, I know mine was filled.

I gave you all the template to use freely for yourselves. I’m a bit disappointed that you are charging for it. I would prefer that it goes through the Stinger store so the forum benefits from it.

You can’t sell them here without approval from the administrator. I’m a bit surprised you’re doing this frankly as I gave the template out freely for others to use. I did not expect a member would try to make a profit from it, despite the fact you came up with the idea originally. I spent ages working out the template , and how to do make and install it and put it on line with no expectation of making any money and now you want to reap the reward from my hard work. All I can say is I’m disappointed.

He isn't selling your template. He's selling the mesh + his labor + convenience + postage. We don't even know if he used your template to make them since he had already done his is before you uploaded the templates.

He is still not allowed to solicit business without approval. I’m not outraged either just very disappointed that he is profiting from the work I did by even asking payment for his labour. I gave out the templates before he made them and my design was different to his idea yet what he is selling is a copy of my work. He originally was just going to staple the mesh on. I never intended for this and if I knew I would never have posted my work and instructions. If I had the time I would make it for free and send it to all who asked. I guess its about doing the right thing.

We all only just ticked agree with the new rules a few days ago. Therefore you should know else you did not read them completely before agreeing. Take the labour out of it he IS breaking the rules regardless. Think about it if you were in this situation.
