That's not a bad price for 2 bars. Curious if anyone had that kit, I think the hatch opening is definitely an area that could use more bracing to reduce flex. I wonder if the rear under bar helps.Luxon makes braces for our cars..

Anyone have any experience with a differential brace?
Your idea is similar to what I have mounted to the 2 front struts on my '96 993. It's called a front strut brace and ties the top of the two struts together, minimizing flex. When I installed it, no more squeeking from the windshield.Yeah, i got that. But that brace bolts to the beefy steel subframe, which i doubt has any play in it. I wanna brace both sides of the actual body of the car, by "attaching" wide plates to the inside of wheel well area and connecting them together with 1 inch steel bar. I am sure you have a lot more flexing in that area than floor. It might help with rattling hatch as well.
I removed the side panels. And since I did rear seat delete, now I have 2 holes in reinforced area, where seat belt mechanism was bolted, that I can use to attach the bracket. I think that whould be the perfect areas to connect together.Your idea is similar to what I have mounted to the 2 front struts on my '96 993. Here's what it looks like:

Porsche 964/993 Apex/Race Strut Brace | Kla Industries
Have you ever wondered why, during hard cornering, your car handles differently? Well, racers have discovered that this is due to the shock towers spreading apart. When this occurs, positive camber is induced in your suspension causing the car to handle poorly. To reduce this positive camber...www.klaindustries.net
Yes, that looks like a good spot.I removed the side panels. And since I did rear seat delete, now I have 2 holes in reinforced area, where seat belt mechanism was bolted, that I can use to attach the bracket. I think that whould be the perfect areas to connect together.View attachment 83996
Have you noticed any difference?Meanwhile, I used some of the metal left from other project to fabricate "brace" in place of my aluminum support that I used once I removed spare tire. View attachment 84408
No. Not that I tested it, or really drive hard enough to actually feel the difference from this. Especially with the shitty weather we have here. Theoretically it should stiffen the body for more than 0% anyway. Considering, my previous aluminum "brace" weighting more and being lot more flexible, there's zero downside.Have you noticed any difference?
