2 weeks ago I fiited Ultra Racings rear lower brace, two point and four point. I had noticed the rear not staying flat around down hill off camber left and right turns. The result is much better than I hoped for, the rear faithly follows the front and stays nice and flat. The other improvement is the slight nervousness in the rear under full acceleration is completely gone. My car runs 300KW and 720Nm and really did have a bit of a slightly unnerving wiggle, now fixed. Cost was AUD384, money well spent.

Do you have less creaking sounds from the body after fitting these? I've been thinking of adding a bunch of bracing because the chassis flex is more than I'd like and I have some sounds, I know the car is a hatchback so some of that is inevitable but I'd like to tighten it up more.

I am playing with idea to fab the brace bar behind rear seats. Once the weather warms up, i'll take a closer look.20230205_110151.webp

G'day, Our car doesn't have a lot of squeaks and rattles, it does for sure have some around the sun roof and particularly on really hot days. I have no doubt it will will becuase the body flex is noticabley less and of course there's the benefits I mentioned. I,m not sure if I will fit the front brace, it's certianly not expensive, the pictures I've seen show the covers have been remove and I do not wish to do that but that may not be req'd. I have climb under and check the mounting points. I suggest you go ahead and at least do the 2 that I did, you won't regret it.

Totally agree, fitting these is money well spent, they definitely compliment the Eibach Swaybars, the car is really planted to the road & cornering at speed is a breeze & the rear end twitch is non existent.
I also fitted the rear 2 point & rear/mid 4 point braces only, I definitely recommend this upgrade.

They definitely reuduce/eliminate creaking from the body, the whole chassis seems firmer/rigid now without affecting ride quality.

I don’t have the front brace, IMO there is enough “bracing” in that area not to warrant it & after driving for 6 months now it definitely doesn’t need it. Totally agree with you on fitting the other 2, they are relatively inexpensive & well worth the investment for the results you gain.

The rear ultra racing 2 point brace already covers that area but from underneath, they are worth fitting.

Yeah, i got that. But that brace bolts to the beefy steel subframe, which i doubt has any play in it. I wanna brace both sides of the actual body of the car, by "attaching" wide plates to the inside of wheel well area and connecting them together with 1 inch steel bar. I am sure you have a lot more flexing in that area than floor. It might help with rattling hatch as well.

For the price of that rear bar it’s worth a try before engineering something that you may not need, try it you might be surprised.

But what's the fun in that? :) I'll have to take a closer look at wheel well area to see if it's worth trying.

Also, since i removed the spare, i had to do something about making the hatch floor usable for carrying heavy stuff. So i guess i can call that "brace" Just very soft and very aluminum :laugh:20230205_201225.webp

Anybody know if these will work on a Stinger newer than 2019? Their website shows compatibility only with 2018-2019.

I don't know for sure but as far as I do know the changes were mostly cosmetic. Perhaps the supplier can better advise you.

They should fit, no chassis changes that I’m aware of so they should fit, best bet would be to message Ultra Racing to confirm fitting.

The Director of Sales and Ops for Ultra Racing said they "have not tested it on the '22 model, but there should be no changes to the chassis". Which is what I figured but you never know.

Looks like the only place to get them currently is their website but they are out of stock on the 4-point. There is a website called Aleksracing but it has few reviews and a couple bad ones that make it look suspect. Plus, the pricing is too low to be real.

For installing these - loaded or unloaded rear axle? I.e. drive the rear up on ramps, or can I jack it up with jack stands and leave the rear wheels hanging? I don't want to have anything "fall apart" because I had too much stress on it.

I have the rear and mid, although seems like I might need a replacement for the mid - it has 3 vertical "cylinders" for the screws, and then one horizontal.

Also, are the screws where the rear brace installs one-time use? Or can I re-use them?

Thanks for any help.

G'day, I had the rear on jack stands, wheels off the ground. Once I removed both bolts (they were #$%@ tight) the bracket did move down such that I could not get the nut to start. Easy fixed, I used a studry bit of wood on a jack, jacked it back up and was able to get the brace and nut on ok. I should have bought a rattle gun as I already have a compressor. Have now bought one, will have to remove the mid brace to install the Xforce 2.1/2" exhaust with varex mufflers that arrived yesterday. Then back to the tuners to see what gains I can get. Cheers, RiskY

Great, thanks! Appreciate the help!

So, just to update: had the rear axle/control arm drop 2-3 inches after loosening both nuts. Had to jack it back up to re-assemble.

Now if Ultra hadn't shipped me 2 POS, I could actually have installed them. Rear brace has a flattened bushing, mid brace has one of the long bushings parallel to the bars..

Working with Throwdown performance (whom I ordered through for Black Friday) to resolve it..
