Borla Exhaust for Kia Stinger

Have you ever heard that an exhaust would /could blow up an engine?

Unless............ You are driving through a flood and the car stalls, then all the water comes in the exhaust into the cylinders and that motor is considered written off/blown.

Sort of the exhausts fault .....

I thought also if the exhaust doesn't vent properly it may lead to some sought of back draft or build up? Maybe just inaccuracies im no expert myself. I know with the bimodial they're going to warrant it, but theres going to be better exhaust sounds then that. To me its too high pitched.

I am considering Borla, maybe ARC Grip... both sound pretty nice, at least from the You tube clips... Would be nice to hear examples in person to get a better sense of them. You tube videos can be distorting, as some are taken indoors - or using cellphones with varying recording quality. Like the sound on the Borla a bit better from what little I can tell. ARC looks like a well constructed system. Will be nice to hear feedback as more people here in the Forum switch over to aftermarket.

Yep thats the vid ive seen personally the ark sounds better than the borla in my view. It appears to be a deeper noise?

Okay guys last night Efrain and I filmed another video with my full audio setup it's a linear PCM recorder much better audio I'll post it up later today and that will give you a better idea of what the grip exhaust sounds like. After about a week of having that exhaust on it has gotten a little louder inside the cabin there is more drone now than there was when I first put it on it's not bad but there is slight drone in that car nothing compared to what I had with my STI but I just want to say that there is drone for sure

That’s a bummer. I really wish there was more EVC exhaust options.

Does anyone know when they will have cat back borla exhaust and carbon fiber tips for sale in usa? My dealership has a price for them but keeps saying that they are waiting to get them in. Anyone else waiting ?

Borla has always been known to have drone. If you want it loud this is probably the best one. Can't wait to hear the audio clips. We do have the one video online but it's short.

From what I am hearing, all the aftermarket exhausts have an element of drone... I was leaning towards ARC as well figuring their design was least likely to suffer from the effect but STINGER GT and ME confirmed even that system has a bit of drone allbeit to a very small degree. All things being equal , I prefered the deeper sound of the Borla...hopefully it turns out ok...if not I plan to hold onto my stock setup just in case...LOL Thanks STINGER GT and ME for all the videos...they have been a great help to alot of us out here.

How's the drone at different speeds? Does it start at 67-68mph or is it just more noticeable there? Any drone at 50/55/60/65?

As you build up speed there is drone but once your actually locked in and cruising its very little. There's only one video right now with the borla and it does sound meaner and louder. I'm excited to see more audio clips once people start installing them. Right now I still love my Ark. It has an awesome smooth ramping sound as you accelerate.
