BMS FMIC w/ CPI Bung

Loosen the mounts and make sure u slide it all the way to the drivers side

The bottom mounts are "maxed out" meaning the bottom grommet/bolts sit all the way to the outer position of the intercooler's bracket. It can't be slid left or right.

Agreed. Mine not only couldn't be slid, but also didn't really reach both bottom grommets, I had to semi force it to work.

But it was doable, and in the end I'm happy with it. I do wish the 'forcing' part hadn't included me bumping it into the front sensor mount, bending some of the fins right there.

hopefully I can get it figured out. I'd hate to have to send it back! Looks great, just don't want to have to cut the tow hook mount, or pay someone too since I don't have the right tool to do it. If it's just as easy as moving it over, that would be great, but it just can't be moved either way....

Same. I hit the passenger side with a mallet 4 good times and it sat flush against the outside of both. It was tight but works. I was surprised how much heavier it was than stock.

Mine were JUST to wide, wasn't willing to beat on the stock bracket. Got the screws started with the cooler just a hair higher and it pulled everything in as I tightened down.

I hit the bracket on the intercooler, not the car.

Oh! I misunderstood. I don't think that would of helped me, I needed them to stretch further out to reach the mounting spots. The brackets on the intercooler were perfectly straight actually, no bends like others reported.

Yeah mine were straight too, just too close together. New tires come in on Friday so it will be nice to be able to do some actual testing. I can barely hit 60 in under 4.8 right now because the rears are shot.

Eye-ing this as my next mod but would like to know the following:

1. CF air duct available? For CPI?
2. Has the fitment been resolved?
3. Can I run the lower grill in combination with this FMIC?
4. Tools not mentioned in instructions to install?

Yes! Answer to your question is on page 2 on a Yellow Stinger.

I would say dont worry about fitment. It wasnt difficult to make work

Snapchat-778863618.webp Update: 2nd attempt at install was a success. Taped up the tow hook mount to avoid scratching the intercooler. Had to use some "persuasion" with a hammer a bit on the intercooler bracket on the passenger side but it worked. Definitely jam packed in there... but in there.

Awesome price and I trust Terry and BMS! Just ordered one :D:p

I think you run one or the other. IIRC, Terry said if you can do E85 CPI and get to E50, there's no benefit to doing WMI as well.
How do we do E85 CPI?

BMS FMIC + fuel-it kit/sensor, IIRC. The FMIC charge pipe has a bung for plugging in a nozzle, either methanol/water or E85, which is CPI - charge pipe injection. I think the jb4 also needs the E85 sensor to adapt the tune to the actual mix arriving at the engine..

I *THINK* all the required parts are sold on the BMS website.

Isn't the E85 sensor in the Fuel-it kit? So where does the E85 that's going into the charge pipe come from? Like are we supposed to use the meth kit but filling it with E85 instead? Not sure that I want to do that lol. Sorry for all the questions, I've tried to search for this on here and over on Terry's forum but couldn't find anything solid.

I was pretty interested in this as well for a while, so here's what I learned: you use the meth nozzles, but tap the LPFP (low pressure fuel pump) lines to feed the nozzle. So no additional tank required, just an extra fuel line running from before the HPFP to the CPI bung. The reason to tap the LPFP is that the HPFP runs out of capacity when trying to deliver something like E40 or higher. That's why we're limited to ~E30 currently. So with the ability to flow more fuel, I believe we can go up to E50 easily. Terry said he's run straight E85, but there's no gain above E50, and there are some tuning issues. I.e. need a backend flash + jb4 to run straight ethanol "properly"...

It's a bit of complexity, and not sure if I need every last bit of power. I'm holding off for now until straight E85 is supported. But, I was all into it a while ago, and may be again in 3 months when I get bored :-) This is my daily driver, so I prefer set-and-forget vs. constantly having to monitor..

Did any oil come out of your stock intercooler??

Has anyone noticed IAT changes? Its 70 here in georgia and I have bms intake that I installed at the same time as intercooler . Driving around town today at about 40mph IAT is 104 and at stop lights 118. Since I installed them st the same time I have no comparison. What's your results?

Mine fit perfectly no mods required for my gt but the clamps where the wrong size and I assume they are sending me new ones since they responded to my email quickly.
