Blood Type Racing (BTR) working on Stinger tunes (2.0/3.3)

I daily drive my 22 psi ECU tune. Aside from keeping it happy with Octane its not a big deal. If you stay off the gas you stay off the boost. Its always ready to pounce but I normally drive it mellow.
When you say 22psi, is that peak? Or are you actually holding that until it starts tapering towards redline?

A lot of time I just kick over to map1 or map2 for normal driving, or even map4 (VALET) if I want to let someone else drive the car. On the fly map changes are a huge feature. Can't wait until we are able to program them in to factory buttons on the vehicle like we do for other platforms. Then you don't even need your phone to change maps!

I agree. Although I don't mind using my phone that would be a bad ass feature if the phone was not necessary.

When the wife drives the car is always on map 0. When I daily drive the car to work I usually run map 1. When I am at a stoplight and I see some mustang or Camaro creep up it goes to map 2. You already know when I am at the track I use map 3 and Map 5.

That's just peak. It always tapers as the RPMs climb. I hit 22 in first gear, 21 in the first part of 3rd and 4th gear. 3rd tapers to about 17 PSI. (this is all on 1/4 mile runs so RPM for 3rd and 4th gear start in the high 4k RPM range. Second gear starts in the low 5k range so less boost)
Just noticed my 11.87 run only hit 19 PSI in 4th while other runs hit 21 PSI. That explains the extra 2 MPH trap on some runs. Looks like the 11.87 time is going to drop a bit. :)

We need to see some JB4 owners seriously crank up the boost to compare. I think the only other tune running anywhere near 20PSI is Lap3

Looking at the trap speeds it would appear most are running about the same boost, or at least in the 20-21 range. +7 PSI on JB4 is 21 PSI. And Lap3 pro hits 20.7 on map 3 I think. Others think the JB4 logging reads boost about 2 PSI low.
I was thinking I need an E30 tune so I can compare to Jb4 on level of tune. :)

Oh I've cranked it... Stock turbos just doesn't make much addl power past 18psi under normal load.

Is that BTR tune available yet?

I emailed them a week ago to see if there is a status. So usually when you get no response it means they are uncertain.

You wont get any info from them just so you know.

Unless you are local and show up to their shop.

They wont provide any info into the ECU tune is officially released. There very low key. I though about kidnapping the tuner before and make him tune my car since I got a track event on May 5th. (Disclaimer I am clearly joking here, I don't want to get banned from this thread.)

I guess no point speculating. It will get done when it gets done. Hope all goes well at the track!

The dream is over. They are not doing the tune anymore.

Did they get out of the tuning game all together? The only items I can find for sale on their site in relation to tuning now are Cobb AccessPorts.

Oh my god I am done! I am leaving work now to lock myself in my room and cry for the rest of the day.

This sucks man!!! Is this really happening?
