Auto folding side mirrors

Only my drivers side mirror is working properly. The passenger side mirror stays out. No movement. Could the switch be failing?
Howdy, Tanya. Try having someone push on (encourage) it a bit when you pivot the mirrors in.

I doubt, also, that the switch is at fault, or else both mirrors would be balky at the same time.

This is the only case of a "stuck" mirror that I have read of on the forum (unless I'm more forgetful than I think:P).

make me the 2nd one. My passenger side mirror sometimes sticks now. When it gets stuck, the mirror also can't be adjusted so it's probably some loose wiring in that mirror that's intermittently losing connection.

Hey all, I have just had the same problem with my 2020 kia stinger where the side mirrors wouldn't open after unlock vehicle. Anyone know if there is a button that turns it on or off or opens them without having to do it manually?

yes, the button is on the driver door switch area... if you go back on the posts on this thread someone posted the picture of the switch.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Another tip for you all if you wish to take it - I turn off the folding down mirrors, the reverse mirror folding feature in the winter because I learned last winter that they can get stuck and I don't want to damage the folding capabilities of the mirror - the auto dim, blind spot monitoring etc come to be about $ 600 for the mirror glass only, crazy.
Try Mixing a 3:1 Ratio (3/4-cup isopropyl alcohol with 1/4-cup room temperature water) in a spray bottle.
Spray and let sit a couple of minutes. Should loosen it up nicely.

You also can use it the night before to prevent freezing...Works great on the windshield...

Tried and True method from the Great White North.
