I saw the same article today and was thinking about ordering one! Definitely let us know if any of you get one.

This is cool. Thread "watch" d

As an Android user and someone who hasn't owned a car in 6+ years and just snagged a '21 Pearl White GT1 last week, i am VERY interested in this.
Every cable i've tried with my Galaxy S20 Ultra is unacceptably touchy with AA. The slightest bump or jolt kills the music and the entire experience. Bluetooth audio is fine as a holdover but I'd really love higher fidelity audio and navigation without having to use a cable.

I have one ordered from December (I think), not sure where it puts me in line. I've never had a cable issue aside from my phone is long enough where plugging it in puts it in a position of resting on the plug.

I've never had cable issues either, cheap, nasty or oem (@xepthx ...sounds like your phone man?)
Plus right now I use the magnet connect cables so I don't even have to plug it in, I can almost just lay it near the cable end and it connects itself.

I have cable issues and also aa auto issues where switching apps pisses it off and makes it pause music or whatever I'm playing. It's super annoying

If you don't already have an order in you won't be getting one anytime soon. I think the orders placed now won't be fulfilled until late Summer/Fall 2021 at the earliest. Also worth reminding people that until this becomes a retail operation, you're donating to the project with no guarantee on receiving anything. IMO that's a lot of risk to assume, but I'm hopeful this will become a mainstream product.

Not sure about timing if signing up now, but as far as getting something, they've been sending out updates about devices getting ready to ship, hopefully that means soon.

Yes, I don't want to be a beta tester and be a first buyer. Like any product there will be kinks, revisions, and software updates over time. I'd rather wait and have someone on here verify it works on our Stingers and works well.

One of the devs made OBD2AA which doesn't seem to work on the stinger. I'm hopeful this gadget doesn't use the same mechanism OBD2AA uses to interface with the head unit.

I really hope this works well. I never use AA currently because I can't find a cable that will work right. The car just dumps the connection over and over. I can do 95% of what I want using bluetooth and the car's own satnav so it's not a big deal, but it would be nice.

Now if only we could get AA turn by turn directions on the HUD...

That's the thing I most dislike giving up when using AA, I really like that feature.

Wireless is a must. The QI charger is completely useless without it.

Had both the S20 Ultra and S21 Ultra and my Anker cable has had zero issues.
