• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I've seen a handful of stingers in Calgary, granted near the downtown area and not really anywhere else.. there is a thunder grey stinger I always see in the parkade next to the palliser hotel, wondering if its anyone on here

Oh god that spoiler is hideous.

Has anyone installed the SSR downpipes for your AWD? I keep reading that it is not a perfect fit... what is the work around? Have not come across any answers to this yet...

I installed SSR midpipes (sometimes referred to as downpipes, but downstream from the primary cats & sensors) on my car about a month ago. The drivers side pipe was very tight to a bolt in the transfer case. After a week or so, it started to rattle, though oddly enough, only on cold startups. I took a hammer and pounded a small concave divot into the pipe and no problems since then. I did have use of a lift for both the initial install and the removal, modification & reinstall. It would have been a much more difficult job without that. Using the hoist, it was about 45 minutes, all in, for the installation.

I rarely see stingers in Calgary sadly. Saw a white one on stoney on Tuesday night headed east, I was trying to log map 3 so he probably thought I was being a douche haha

4th gear pulls are definitely extra-legal. I use third so I can keep my driver's license. What gas are you testing map 3 on, and using an octane booster?

Had to put some P&S Bead Maker on to help with this lovely weather.

I'm running e30 on map 3 and 5. Both passed log inspections with Terry.

16L (4 gallons) of e85 and the rest of good 91/94 octane.

Hey first post here.
Just wanted to say hi to the Alberta guys
I have the 2018 thunder grey gt2 limited
Injen intake on its way and about to order the jb4 tuner
I'm in NW Calgary
Welcome! You'll find a lot of great information on here.

Good choice on the Injen intake, they are a well engineered system that installs easily, looks great and has a very nice sound to it under moderate to hard acceleration. Should be a nice combination with the JB4!

I'm curious how CAI's affect the engine in -30°C weather. Not that we ever see that up here.....

Most are not true CAI's for this car, I went the Injen route (no heat shield in the engine bay) I really like it, no issues in the winter, but I only bought it for the sound.
