• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Alberta Stingers Check In

How bad was it taking the original badge off. I heard it was a bit tricky to remove without scratching the paint

Ali Express. There's a few posts on the forums along with other style exhaust tips too.
Why not do the full tint on the tail lights?

In person it actually works nicely. The reverse lights have a darker tinge and now the tinted turn lights match them.
Nice, love the spoiler, the gray Is one of the best colours to me.

Took me about 10 minutes to debadge the whole car and another 10-15mins to apply the decals
I have debadged many prior cars and find it easy. I'm just worried about this car since so many people have ripped off paint in the process. The back panel is plastic and more susceptible to ripping paint off than a steel panel. That's my only worry.

That’s the Kia logo on the nose but, it’s only a small hand full of people with that problem(maybe rushed).

The paint issue was for manufacture date prior to may of 2018 and seemed only the yellow and blue colors had this issue.

Tip when de-badging is to just cut the glue attached to the emblem and away from the vehicle's paint. This will allow you to remove the badge but still have the glue stuck on the car. At this point, this is the best situation as there was no contact with the vehicle's paint. You can just use 3M adhesive remover (automobile grade) to take off the glue if needed, however mine just rolled off using my finger.

Yeah I agree that people rushed or used excessive heat when removing the front badges.

That was basically my plan if doing it myself, cut adhesive with fishing line, then use goo gone to remove the remaining adhesive. I'd only use the sun as a heat source. I'm thinking I'll buy the Stinger script and then ponder it some more before committing.

I'm very handy, but I've done a few mods on prior cars and rather than spending about 250 for an install, I do it myself, something goes wrong and it costs me almost a grand to fix. I'm contemplating getting quotes to have a "professional" re badge and if things go wrong, they pay to fix it themselves.
