That was basically my plan if doing it myself, cut adhesive with fishing line, then use goo gone to remove the remaining adhesive. I'd only use the sun as a heat source. I'm thinking I'll buy the Stinger script and then ponder it some more before committing.

I'm very handy, but I've done a few mods on prior cars and rather than spending about 250 for an install, I do it myself, something goes wrong and it costs me almost a grand to fix. I'm contemplating getting quotes to have a "professional" re badge and if things go wrong, they pay to fix it themselves.

If your dealer is willing, that's the best route to go if you want security. They will warranty their work, that is if they are willing to do the rebadge.

Thanks for the info on windshield replacement cost. I never get glass coverage but I can usually get a replacement for less than $300. Thought the Stinger one would be around there or a bit more. I guess not! Gonna get AMI on Monday!

Verde Axis. Something interesting about them which I didn't realize until I got them is that the valve stem is actually on the inner wall instead of outer wall of the wheel. So the stem has to be small enough to pass under the brembos. Looks like they have less than a mm of clearance, lol.

Not yet no, gonna probably wait till May. There are still a few cold days ahead I bet and my commute is at 6am in the morning.

White hides dust better than darker colors. But shows everything else lol.

While not really necessary, it's probably a good idea. Those metal caps look good but aren't worth the trouble when they fuse onto the valve stem.

yes, those aluminum caps are a nightmare if they corrode onto the stem
