I have been looking at the AFE Power Hot and Cold Charge Pipe and I am wondering if it adds any power at all or if it really just for looks. Any advice will be greatly advised. Thank you allIMG-4286.webp

I saw it on one other Stinger last year. They said installation was a bit tricky.
I kinda wanted it in red. Not sure how much performance it might add, probably not a lot.
Still debating it.

I just bought the cold charge pipe (i just wanted the red for looks). I’ll let you know if I see any performance gains.

There’s some good info in here…

We offer and stock the AFE charge pipe

Per AFE it outflows the stock charge pipe by 12%, but I have not seen any dyno showing any performance gains.

Its mostly a reliability upgrade, which also can be a cosmetic one, if you go with the different colors AFE offers.

What's not reliable about stock piping? Unlike all aftermarket options it is even insulated from the factory.

AFE aluminum charge pipe is better quality, whether its worth it to upgrade the stock ones or not is a personal decision

I have the aFe charge pipes and the aFe intakes on my car. I'll be heading to the Dyno this Friday, I never dyno'ed this Lap3 ECU tune. While I can't do a before and after, I can let you all know my results.

The whole point of dyno run, in your case, is to measure the difference before and after on the same dyno withing close time frame. Because differen dynos will be showing different numbers for the same car.Just after result will show nothing really.

I agree. This is the same Dyno I got my Racechip GTS results from (see signature). The mods are the same minus the ECU tune.

Got it. Than, at least you can see the approximate difference between racechip and ecu tune. Post the results. It's interesting to see.

Just had mine installed yesterday, does you make loud sucking sound now when your in boost?

At 1st but that was a boost leak from the BMS Intercooler and the charge pipe. Once the coupling connecting the cold side charge pipe to the Intercooler was tightened, the noise stopped. My aFe instakes (I keep the plugs installed) are pretty loud outside the car due in the ram air ducts.

I had some life stuff pop up so I didn't go to the dyno weeks ago. I probably won't dyno the car until sometime this Fall.

anyone got dyno results?

Also can someone post a pic of where the methanol bung sits when it's installed. Is there enough room for a CPI injector to mount up??

I can sell you mine if you want to instal it :) sitting in an unopened box in my garage. Not because I think it’s worthless, just don’t and won’t make it to the top of my priority list.

Let me expand on this so there is no mistake. I’m at the point where my car runs so well, puts out so much HP/TQ, I’m very hesitant to make any more changes. I would need to start the tuning process all over again (potentially) to get things dialed in. I’m happy with my setup. She purrs….Im embarrassing people/cars all the time. I’m good.

I still plan on hitting the Dyno at some point when I got some time. It hasn't been high on my list lately.

I have both afe bladerunner charge pipes and love them. Easy installation.
You get more cfm flow with hot side. Yes the cold is +12% more cfm, hot side is +38% more cfm. The calculations are 4-5cfm = 1hp.
In turbo systems thr more you take in and exhale the more hp you make. Even smaller adds when combined with larger will end up making more. Even upgrading the boost control valve. It all adds up in the end
