ADD-W1 v3.3 Dual Inlet

Anyone got a good tutorial on the install for the ADD-W1 v3.3 Dual Inlet Catch Can for the 3.3L? I'm not getting a good vibe from the install instuctions...

Maybe it's just me...!
ff, have you watched this Utube Video yet.

Anyone know the size of the O-ring. Im thinking the one i have has stretched. Emptied my CC last week, now I get a high pitch squeal. The O-ring doesnt sit snug, so when I screw the bottom to the top, I'm guessing its not allowing for a proper seal.

This catch can is frequently a disappointment.

I have no issue with it other than this, which to me is minor. It's doing it's job and capturing oil and because I'm from Canada, condensation.

Got ya, but you’re one of many contributing to an assortment of complaints.

I’ve had this can and another set-up. Far superior performance with my current cans.

I have this catch can sitting ready to be installed, and am debating now if I should even do it.....

Install it. Works as advertised.

Do some searching around and look for other issues with this can. Most negative experiences of any kit. There are better performing options.

Want to point them out? Only one I heard of was the check valve.

I ended up installing it no problem. I've only had it on for a couple days though. Had to do some work around because of injen intakes but nothing major.

I assume you used the video for reference. If your temperature gets below zero, make sure you are checking it weekly. I've been emptying mine weekly due to condensation build up. Can't wait till Spring.

Im in the PNW it rarely gets that cold, but I'm going to be checking it weekly just to insure. I did use a video as reference

Did you have issues with the provided set?
No issues. I know one guy posted he did. Think he was dynoing his car. I'm a junky for upgrading and trying things.

I’m that “one guy” and the ADD W1 dual inlet catch can is trash.
However, I’m far from the only guy that wouldn’t touch this catch can with a 10 ft pole.

Can you elaborate? or link to a thread about this? I'm curious about it.

In short, the dual ADD w1 can is good. The dual inlet can is trash. The company is fine, but that particular product that was supposedly designed with the 3.3TT in mind is no good.

Check valves not withstanding, I’m sure some other folks who have ran both the 3.3 version and another vendor will tell you that the 3.3 version didn’t catch anything in comparison to other vendors.

Once again, I wouldn’t touch the 3.3 version with a 10 ft pole.

Well since this is an old post, here's an update nearly 60000 miles later...

The 3.3 works just fine. No issues with any of the included check valves.
It catches oil and... If driving in weather about 60F or less, check your catch can about every 300 miles because it will accumulate condensation very quickly and you don't want to flood it out.
I have noticed that the o-rings can stretch and the times when I saw it corresponded to the times when my can filled up due to condensation. I ordered extra o-rings from ADD-W1, they're about $6/each. What I usually do is replace the o-ring and keep the old one. After a couple of weeks it will go back to its normal size and if I have to replace it again, I use that one. I basically just rotate through a couple of them.

That's about it.
