• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Access to "engineering mode"

From my previous poke around - all the engineering settings were related to the infotainment system only.

From my limited research, I believe a J2534 programmer is used to adjust any other modules via the OBD-II port.

Has anyone managed to get into the engineering menu on the US 2022 model? I get the PIN but none of the codes I found for previous years work on mine.

To be honest even when I got into the mode on my 2020 none of the settings stuck after restart so it's not much use other than just to play around with.

has anyone seen in the engineering mode if the ability to turn off the auto adjusting bolsters for GT2's exists?

You can already turn that off with the regular car settings. I think it’s in the convenience settings available in the console in front of the steering wheel. I turned mine off.

I dont see it at all. Can you post pictures of where it is?

Daniel's car might be newer than yours. 2018 MY Stingers are missing some of the features of later models.

You bought your car too early. To my knowledge, it wasn't available on 2018s.
are you referring to my moving bolster issue? or the setting itself? It makes no sense to having the moving bolster option like I do, and not be able to turn them off. Do you have a reference of the feature not being on the 18's?

I edited my post right before you replied. I hadn't read your issue correctly.

I had a 2018 but it was a GT1, and I don't recall whether I was able to turn it on/off.

None of the GT1's had moving bolsters, it was a GT2 only "Perk" Though I would rather live without it honestly.

The dynamic bolster (tightening when sport is enabled) wasn’t an option on 2018.

I have a gt2 btw.

I mean it definitely is, Considering my car does it, and its an 18GT2 with an 11/17 build date. However, I have read from various people that some GT2's just don't do it at all, for no reason, and some do. Its possible that your car is part of the group that doesn't do it? I've been to two dealerships now, and both have had techs drive my car and noticed the bolsters try to hug them to death when they drive it.

But is that the bolster doing it's normal thing upon startup or is it adjusting itself when they switch drive modes?

Neither, in my case, its just adjusting randomly on the fly, in all drive modes, No matter the type of driving. Most of the adjusting that's happening is the bolster closing to the smallest setting and making the seat extremely uncomfortable. Then I try to open it, it opens, and then closes again as soon as I let off the switch. One dealer has already replaced the seat's switch as well.

Any updates for the '22 MY's? Tapping let/right of this button yields nothing.

Actually, tapping ~20 times on the right brings up a "screen capture enabled" toast. Another 20 brings up "screen capture disabled". Tried multi tapping on various version (in android tapping on the build # brings up developer mode) numbers also yielded nothing.

That's the premium nav system but I'm interested if it'll work as well.
