Access to back of grille

I think the black cover over the inside of the rad comes off with 5 or 6 screws ( see how I got us back on course )

I've taken off the bumper and have enough pics to put together a DIY for it. Just haven't had a chance to do the write-up yet.

Hey @ImportSharkMike, please do post a DIY for front bumper removal and replacement!

I am planning to replace the upper front grille on my 2.0 with the much better-looking one from the 3.3. So your DIY will be very helpful!

Not that easy, according to Kia to get that black cover off (my dealer tried it on mine) you need to remove the front apron/bumper assembly as I stated earlier in this thread, sounds dumb I know but that's what I have been told by Kia.

That’s what I’m thinking. Tried using the video posted on the website as a guide, but the Optima and Stinger are definitely different. Hate the thought of not putting this on and wasting the money. Going to wait for further guidance from a good source, with pics. Depressing.

Did they put a watermark over the badge they are trying to sell?

I already l purchased this and thought the install would be simple. Subbing. Waiting for instructions.

Nothing to stick to ie surface area.
there has to be a contact point that badge has a fairly large flat surface , I'm redoing my rear GT badge and have a spare so I'm going to see it it could work on the front grill using the 3m tape ..................I'll let you know if it works

I have got that actual gt badge , it has two posts with threads and a backing plate that goes over the threads then nuts.
