About that Kia badge...

I like the look of it but is that much thicker than the original emblem? It seems awful thick.

Ooh, that rear hatch is making me reconsider getting the larger "Stinger" script for the rear.

That makes a heck of a lot more sense. I thought it was thick and the aspect ratio was way off since the steer wheel emblem is obviously an oval not a circle. Well dang, in that case that looks great too and I might have to get all of them.

I'm waiting most for the front/rear one (theres only one). I hope it also looks good on the back.

Not necessarily ... Mike always calls them specifically "Stinger" badges.

To some extent @Larry Denen is right. The hood badge has "STINGER" at the bottom. The rest of the badges have no mention of Stinger. This is, in my opinion, a more luxurious looking design. I'm sure Optima owners (and owners of other Kias) will eventually gravitate to this design. Maybe not all - but some. I'd actually prefer "some" because it would be nice to see it used more for the Stinger...

Hey I thought we were all getting Stingers instead of BMW/Audi because we AREN'T badge snobs. Don't let the nappa leather corrupt you!

Hah! I don't think it's badge snobbery. :p I think it's just people wanting what's new, cool, and interesting. This new style if Kia badge is still a Kia badge. It may have similarities to a Lexus badge - but it's been around for decades longer than the "Lexus L".

Perhaps Lexus is the one who copied Kia...

I've definitely had people ask if my Optima was a Lexus when it first came out, but most recently I had to park for more than the allowed two hours for a job and got a parking ticket that listed the make as "Nissan"

The Optima does have a prestigious look to it. Kia really started catching my eye with the Amanti - especially the refresh. But the Optima is what made me a Kia enthusiast. It's a really good looking, classy car. Nissan?! :p

Quick question: I just went to the store to order the complete package. I love the hood badge, like the tail and steering wheel badges, but would prefer the red "gt" logo on the wheels. Any way to mix and match a package together?
Thanks!!

i agree with you. it looks better and i like that it's an oem style graphic. it doesn't look as cheap to me as a klexus badge aka kia 3.0. this design looks more legitimate and less lexus-like.

You think so? I actually think it looks really similar to the 3.0 badge.
