About that Kia badge...

If you are installing the e badge on the hood, do you still have to file off the post? The 3 posts on the e badge i got doesnt align with the holes on the hood

I’ve found it extremely easy to just use a wire cutter and snip them right off.

Thanks for the quick replies! Just used a knife to cut it off then used a drill bit. Worked great

FYI, I used side cutters in a circular type motion around the circumference on the bottom pin until it “broke” though to the centre hole level with peel off adhesive backing, then using a twist drill slightly larger in diameter to the pin, I slowly & gently drilled the remainder of the pin down until it was well below the adhesive tape. I wasn’t comfortable melting the pin down with a soldering iron because I didn’t want to potentially heat damage the face side.

I second Kazz on this one! I have a black GT with red leather and small red accents on the exterior would be nice. Had been considering the black "K" logos with the red fade inset for this very reason. Speaking of which, any reason the company that makes these wheel center logos couldn't make a front "Stinger" logo for the oval badge on the nose?

Seriously though I imagine the fake plastic hood vents could easily be popped out and painted or a red wrap or plastidip over the front brake vents could look good.

I guess the front badge is supposed to be the make - E is the brand, Stinger is the model.

Yup , it was discussed in another thread regarding wheel badges , a couple of us actually designed GT badges and had them produced by 3DCar Stickers in the Ukraine , they can produce any shape and design .....................

From my understanding, the E logo is more of a marketing thing than the brand. I doubt Kia would be doing a side-brand (like Hyundai-Genesis, Toyota-Lexus, etc).

Mike from Löden emblems has shown me their first stinger emblem, the one for the wheelcaps:



Matching steering wheel & a front/back caps will follow.

The front/rear emblem is still in the works for a bit later in march.
