About that Kia badge...

Agree, the Wheel Caps or even Steering Wheel (is that replaceable) would be in play as well
The wheels are easy but the steering wheel presents a problem. The steering wheel logo is an oval recessed into an oval-shaped cavity on the steering wheel. Replacement badges I've seen are round. I'm not sure if the center steering wheel plate is easily available or not but you would have to swap it for one with a circular indentation.

The aftermarket will likely step in and make a "round" E badge so you will not have to replace the steering wheel cover.

You will likely see a kit just like in Chris's post below but they will all be "E's". No E badge exists for the rear in ROW markets either but I bet you will see one in a kit as well.

Just buy a KDM stinger air bag cover, comes with badge already on it. this what the Genesis guys were doing a few years ago.

I'll make sure I have all the re-badging possibilities available in the Stinger badge store. For future reference, a link is in the footer of every page.

And also for future reference, I ship the same day the order comes in up until 9pm. My local post office keeps their doors opened 24 hours a day and I drop off orders over night for them to scan and ship the following morning. I waited 3 weeks to get my original batch of badges from South Korea. You'll get yours in 2-3 days if you're in the U.S or Canada. A couple more in Europe...

I paid full price for each badge with my initial very small order so I could ensure I was getting OEM products. My next order will be in bulk and prices will come down. So you'll get the lowest price and the fastest shipment - and you'll be supporting this little endeavor of becoming the greatest Stinger forum on the planet. :p

I have to say that so far these have been the best car-related free forums I've seen on the internet. Corvetteforums and optimaforums have had a lot of useful information but it's usually buried around a lot of immature posters and junk. I hope they continue to grow as we approach official launch dates, but only with the high caliber of posters we have now and not riff-raff :P

We really do have a great bunch of people here! No problems and the place is actually kinda busy. I'm a little shocked. It's not usually this good. :p

Look very closely at the STINGER badge it appears to be two pieces. Am I seeing right or is that just an illusion?
https://stingerforum.org/kia-stinger-magazine/product/kia-stinger-badge-rear-emblem-copy/

And the url says copy. I just want to make sure that this is an OEM badge.
Yes, technically, it IS in two pieces. But the adhesive actually holds it together. So while it ships as one piece - you COULD take them apart and make them two if you really want to. :p But I'm sure most people won't... And yes - it's an OEM badge directly from South Korea. I should probably take that "copy" out of the URL...

On one hand, yes. On the the hand, nobody has ever been so proud to own a Kia as Stinger owners will be. So there will be more to it than just buying a great car for a great value...
I like the idea of people have to look a little harder to work it out. Once I get my hands on it, I'll probably decide to remove or change some but not all of the badging. If Kia make a car this good, they deserve brand recognition and I don't mind people knowing I'm smart enough to buy the right car for the right reason. It is also nice to personalise slightly a car even as nice as this ought to be.

I'm sure the E wheel caps will show up on ebay soon , wrapping the Kia caps in carbon vinyl looks great too .

You can get the badges here:
https://stingerforum.org/kia-stinger-magazine/kia-stinger-badges/

I'm actually selling them myself and ship them out the same day you order. I do have a contest going on where you can get the "E" badge free of charge. I could change that to the "Stinger" script for anyone who's interested in that particular badge. Here's a link to the contest:
https://stingerforum.org/referral-contests/

Get me a set of the "K" ones for a Aus Stinger with the blue background and I'm happy to support the site - also happy to throw a few shekels via PayPal or the like to help out?

That's exactly what I want as well. I just haven't seen them available yet. Perhaps I'll need to make them. I will if enough people prefer them over the "E" badge - like you and I. Maybe we could do a group buy or something as that would pay for the initial cost of design/first batch.

And thank you for considering supporting the site. I really do appreciate that. At one point or another I'll set something up for support but in the meantime I'm really happy that people are signing up and making this a great hangout for Stinger owners and enthusiasts. :)

Out of the East …

Let me put a different spin on the matter of an emblem for the Stinger:

I really liked @eljay ‘s idea, putting a piece of “jewellery” on the car, floated in another thread. While beautiful, it may be hard to accomplish, artistically & price wise.

I am not a fan of the “E” because of it’s clunky design (IMO), nor the “K” that doesn’t signify anything, nor is it particularly artistic.

Wikipedia, among other things, makes the following statement:

Etymology

According to Kia Motors, the name "Kia" derives from the Sino-Korean characters ki (起, "to come out") and a (亞, which stands for (East) Asia), it is roughly translated as "to come out of the east."

and shows this box on thei page:

KIA translated then means "Out of the East (Asia)" and the first two characters of the Hanja script repeat that in the above box.
The remaining characters according to Google mean “Automobile”.

As so many people are getting inked with Chinese characters these days, what would be wrong putting Korean characters on a badge that spell Ki A?

What do you say?

great research , but that thing is FUGLY ( imho ). I agree that the E emblem isn't great but it is OEM and does keep the integrity of the brand , having said that there are some very interesting after market emblems available on lodenemblem.com . They even have a GT badge that looks decent ................

Thanks @moinmoin--if any of us has the money to plunk a nice little chunk of jewelry on our car (I certainly don't!), here's the guy who can do it:
