5 things I hate about my Stinger GT

5 8 have the seat raised as high as it will go, works great for long legs.

But I have found out one thing that is very irritating that the view turns off once you get to 12mph and you need to turn it back on for parking, etc. We have a crowded garage, I use it for squeezing the car in without damage. Love being able to "see" all 4 sides. I was blaming my yorkies feet until I read the manual...............again!
And when parking in a parking spot. My ex Rav4 it was on whenever you got down to a stopping slow speed. At every light it would be on.

That's true. Until you come to a full stop, then it switches to "D". Easy enough, you just pull on the right paddle and it goes instantly into "1".

I've seen several complaints on this forum about the manual mode switching off automatically in certain conditions, but all you have to do is move your shifter into manual mode to engage it during the whole drive. Unless this is not optional in all trims, it is in my GT1.

the gt2 gets the electronic shifter which does not have a manual gate..

none in the stinger as of yet other than slightly reducing extra linkages possibly.. but in other cars like the sonata smart park etc that have remote parking, it would more easily allow the vehicle to be ready for that i guess.

Winding the electric windows down and up, it doesnt wipe the windows clean of water droplets. My Vauxhall Insignia 8 years old does this, or do I have a faulty Stinger?

Not faulty, just lacking. Mine doesn't wipe the windows clean either.

That's something I noticed recently too. My last car, 07 grand prix gt, didn't fully clear the window when you put it down either but it seemed much better than the Stinger.

I was lucky to have members on this forum tell me about that before finding out the hard way myself when I first bought the car. The dealership mentioned nothing about it.

Fortunately my "warm-up" car before the Stinger was a 2018 Optima, so I already knew about the wipers. I learned about that by RTFM.

The only thing I dislike so far is the cell phone charger, no way mine will fit in that slot.

With the new MAX size phones, this is true. I have an iPhone X (regular size, not MAX) with an Otterbox defender case on it and it barely fits.
Now I wish that the CarPlay was wireless and not wired. There is a product call CarPlay2air (have one in the Optima), but still requires a dongle plugged into the USB slot.

No car is perfect. What I got in my Stinger GT Ltd for the price, I couldn't get in any other brand, especially the Audi, BMW or Merdedes or even the NA sports cars after adding in all the similar packages.

Front brakes, Kia sales, Kia Service, Kia Consumer affairs, Kia management- last four would keep me from ever recommending or buying another Kia nor a Hyundai or Genesis.

Total lack of advertising and awareness of how great the Stinger is compared to competitors...

As I pulled out of my driveway today, I remembered that I needed to check the mail, so I pulled slowly around to the mailbox without putting on my seatbelt since I was only going a short distance.

Ding-ding-ding-ding... Other cars will alert you but take a moment every so many dings... but the Stinger's alert kept going. Ok, fine. Kia really cares about seatbelt usage.

I put it in Park, got out and grabbed the mail, and ... holy crap, my car's still beeping!

So not only does it beep incessantly while driving at low speeds, it keeps beeping even after shifting into Park.

First world problems, sure, but damn annoying.

Also: it's been discussed to death, but not remembering the drive mode is also now on my list.
