ok I’m going to call myself out in this one. I‘ve looked on google already and that confused me even more. I purchased the new MBRP exhaust, but have not installed it yet because I’ve been away at work for a few weeks. I intend to install it in early November. When you say “mid pipes” are you referring to the pipes in front of the MBRP catback exhaust? When I google mid pipes it references Y, X and H pipes. it seems to allude to the X pipe in the MBRP system as the mid pipes. Are you saying you recommend the resonators with the MBRP X pipe?

I saw the email to place a review of the new MBRP active exhaust. I’ll do one after I get it installed around 8-10 November (Assuming I don’t get tagged with another trip). I travel alot for work and these past 2 months I’ve been slammed with travel all over the globe. Great for airline miles. Sucks for getting installs completed.

Got some revving and drive by clips done, cut them in with the first video I made after install. I will say it again, resonators are a must with secondaries! Also a picture of how I installed the resonators. Should have taken a pic or 2 while it was in the air but was took excited to hear it lol red is about where I cut and welded 1 end and then just clamped the other end to the X-pipe section.

That definitely sounds different than without the Secondary pipes. You get more rasp and pops than just the 22 exhaust. Thanks for sharing this. Well done. This is a chefs kiss mod!

Thank you for posting this solution I was so upset with the way it sounded I was just about to bring it back and have them take the mp's off. So you would say it made a huge improvement? I was embarrassed to drive the car in sport lol it was obviously loud!!

Hi I have been trying to pm you but I don't think that's possible on here. Any chance you could provide a discount code for the atq subframe collar/bolt set? Sorry I know it's irrelevant in this thread but I had no other way.

It is not Borla. I was told that the tips for 22/23 would require removing the rear bumper to get the fake tips off. So as of now I think we are going to stick with the fake ones, but that could change in the future.

1 of the 4 mounts you can't get to with at least the lower portion of the diffuser on the car. I ended up cutting the tab for it to remove the stock "tips"
oh happy day….seems like good tips are THE hardest thing to find for the stinger. There isn’t really a consensus of what works well for our cars. Folks put lots of effort and money into their cars and I feel most are just settling for whatever doesn’t look bad. But that doesn’t mean it would’ve been their first choice had a real option been available.

looking forward to seeing what MBRP has to offer. Curious…will these tips be offered first through K8 like the exhaust system or should be have the MBRP site on continuous update? Like I said in a previous post, I’m installing the exhaust about 9 Nov-ish so having these would save work before I start. If they need a test case I’m more than willing.
