Just talked to my local shop and asked for help deciding on an EVC... was told this was the only one that they carry. Will follow up with some more questions like if they've done one before, what's with the misleading video and maybe I'll be the guinea pig. We'll see
Anyone with 2022 MBRP system--how loud is it in cabin versus the fake engine noise ('Active Sound Deisgn') on the loudest setting? I have been trying to hold out for Borla but who knows if they are even going to release something for 2022+ Stingers.
I hate the idea of the fake engine noise, but the engine/exhaust is just too quiet for me. However if MBRP isn't going to make much difference in cabin sound, then I'll probably just save my money. Any feedback? Thanks!

I love my MBRP. Not loud at all in comfort mode and ripping in sport. Sure there is a drone around 3k but not an issue IMO. I’d don’t have any other pipes just exhaust. I might get the mbrp tips when they come out but I haven’t really needed to worry about that. Buy the exhaust. You won’t be disappointed. Also MBRP and K8 are 10/10 on customer service and quality. Makes me smile everyday

in eco and comfort I have a bit of drone at 2k RPM. When outside of about 1850-2100 RMp there’s no drone. We drove from SC to southern Florida. The speeds on I-95 run from 80-90. Which is very close to the 8th gear 2k rpm. If you drove the speed limit (<80) it’s not noticeable. I turned off active sound. They natural sound of the MBRP makes it unnecessary. I did add a 2.5inch extensions. The MBRP pipes end just prior to the OEM exhaust “tips”. You can’t really seem the, unless you bend down. I wanted them to be more noticeable.
sport mode: definitely noticeable when the valve opens and you step on it. Either from a stop of at speed. Makes a wonderful sound and the car accelerates rapidly.

Yeah as someone who was in same boat as you, I haven't second guessed the purchase since I got it. It's definitely a noticeable difference. Can't wait for the mbrp tips. Purchased through k8, amazing as always.

Thanks everyone. Just to be sure--I really want to know if MBRP is louder than the fake engine noise (Active Sound Design) at its loudest setting.
I find the fake engine noise to still be too quiet in cabin on its loudest setting, and am hoping MBRP is louder than that.
I did check out the videoa on the K8 store site. Those are great for outside exhaust noise. However the video with the cabin noise is done on a car with secondary downpipes, so I don't think this would be an apples to apples comparison.

Well the reply from the shop didn't give me any confidence. Was told they sound great on BMW's, other Euros but no info on the stinger. With that I chose the MBRP Pro, way cheaper and will be installed next week. Figure if I'm not happy with it at least I didn't blow 3k.
I’ve read in here and YouTube clips that the 2022 mbrp exhaust is much louder than the stock system.
The only negative I’ve read is that the “active” feature doesn’t really make much of a difference in loudness from comfort/eco/sport mode. Because of that I didn’t make the purchase. Was hoping for something that would still be quite in comfort.

I can definitely say from user experience that the Jun.BL racing catback is loud above 2k rpm and even louder with secondary downpipes (sounds awesome). But there's no active option for the racing style catback so It'll stay aggressive.

I would say that there is a 30% difference in loudness from comfort to sport mode. It’s much louder IMO to be in sport. In fact, I turn off sport mode when I get to my neighborhood and when I don’t my wife tells me she can hear me coming down the road.
A little update for the new KSR Performance exhaust. They have released it and it can be customized to your liking. I love mine, I have the muffler/resonator option, it is certainly louder than stock, but it is good for daily driving also. Check out my instagram for sound, ohstinger.

I reached out to Borla to confirm whether they were still working on an exhaust for 2022+ Stingers.
They are! They say it should be released by late April. Will be keeping my fingers crossed. Gonna wait to hear and compare before deciding between that and MRBP.

Chris is the customer service manager, and he originally stated August of last year, 2022. The actual production team that designs and prepares the product to go live with Borla are the ones that would have the actual ETA, which I can almost guarantee will be closer to, July or August 2023.

Yep it was the same with MBRP too. They had a bunch of delays as well. We'll see how things go with Borla. Also will be interested how much more it will costs versus MBRP's system.
