So as far as I am aware there is currently no exhaust systems made for the 2022 model. Feel free to chime in if you are aware of one. That brings me to my question, I know the cat less secondary down pipes still fit the 2022s so has anyone put those on with the stock valved exhaust? If so how did you like it? I personally love having the option to close and open the valves, so getting secondary or primary downpipes seems like the only option us 2022 owners have so far.

I do not have a solid answer as I am too in the market. I did call Borla directly, and they mentioned they were working on a solution due in November of 2021 for the 2022 Stinger models. They stated they were taking into consideration the active exhaust, hopefully, they come up with something that works well with it.

This is AWESOME news if Borla comes up with something. I was concerned that with the Stinger's demise rumors no aftermarket company would even bother making an exhaust for the 2022 models (that takes advantage of the active valves).

As long as tuners and stuff keep advancing there will always be aftermarket parts. I came from the Audi world where companies are still releasing new tunes and parts for 2013-2015 Audi S4's. Just be prepared though, because its a valved exhaust im sure it will cost almost 2k.

Yea, I came from the VW platform and didn't realize the cult following it had. Luckily, there are several vendors and manufacturers working on cool products for this community.

Ugh yeah it probably will approach 2k. Hopefully MBRP releases a valved exhaust as well since they tend to be less expensive than Borla. I better start saving now either way lol

I couldnt agree more. I also prefer the sound of mbrp compared to Borla so i hope they come up with something.

Mbrp was a little tame for me. Not saying they don't make aggressive stuff but I wanted a bit more.

borla on 2022 and I love it. don't mind the loss of the valve functon

How does it line up with the bigger cutouts? Off center, yea? It is definitely tempting.
yea. I just cross my fingers and got tips from AliExpress that would at least fit through and not hit the sides and rattle. there's a noticeable gap between the tips and the cutout but doesn't irk me. maybe later I'll figure out what tips can close the gap

I can tell you the Stillen does not line up at all had to send it back i guess will work if you don't mind them being way off center.

Anybody know if there's a way to modify the existing mufflers to make the "valve open side" actually sound cool?
I know it's possible for a muffler to have an awesome valved side and a super quiet other side because I have a C7 Z06 with an active exhaust and it sounds like a 4 cylinder camry when it's closed and it legit sounds like a blown pushrod V8 should sound when open. Night and Day difference.

On this car I can't even tell when it's open. But I still would like a quiet option for leaving my neighborhood so I don't annoy everybody.

No I wouldn't expect it to sound like that, nor do I want it to sound like that, but it doesn't take much of a deep exhaust sound to carry a long distance when it's 530am and dead quiet outside.

This is crushing... I just got a '22 and was really looking forward to slapping the Jun BL exhaust on it, as I had on my '19.

@mangosez how far off is the alignment? anything to be concerned about?

Just a guess here, but you SHOULD be able to just buy a set of downpipes. There was a secondary cat on the OE exhaust pipes for the 18-21 models, and most of (if not all) the aftermarket downpipes got rid of this. This shouldn't affect the valve system on the rest of the exhaust either, as they are separate pieces, BUT I have not been under my '22 to have a look at that yet. I may look in to that this weekend and report back.

check out this link says it's for 2022 model but i would contact them first to make sure pretty pricey .

Definitely a little spendy. Here is the audio of how it sounds.
