Greetings all; First post here..

I just picked up a brand new 2020 Stinger 3.3T about 3 weeks ago and so far its been an amazing vehicle. I've been building / tinkering with performance cars since the '80s and have built a couple of hot rods, owned a BMW M5, an Audi RS4, etc. I am so pleased with this car, and the engine, it is a torque monster! I really think this is my favorite car I have owned thus far.

As of now I've had my Kia dealership install Denso plugs, gapped to spec, and I installed the BMS air intakes. I also bought a JB4 but unfortunately the car wouldn't run at all on anything more than 60% throttle even on the default map. The car would go crazy rich on WOT and I could hear fuel popping in the exhaust. Anyhow, I gave up on piggybacking and sent the ECU last week to TORK for a reflash. Long story short, John says it has a calibration file he's never seen before. I'm assuming that could also explain the JB4 problems as well.

All told I've been without my vehicle for 8 days, but to TORK's credit they've sent me a replacement ECU with my factory file so I can get around while he sorts it out.

I'm curious if anyone else has a 2020 model year and is experiencing the same issues?

I'll keep everyone posted as this progresses..

Can't speak to your flash issue but I think your JB4 issue was something specifically with the JB4 you received and not related to the model year. Around 200 systems shipped between Oct/19 and Jan/20 had a setting entered overly sensitive that in cars with a noisier than normal electrical system cause it to cut out under boost. The fix is a replacement memory chip with the correct setting.

Hey Terry, that's good to know... I'd be glad to give it another shot and play around with it, and the Tork since I've got a factory ECU unit as a spare. I'll get with support and arrange it. Thanks for the reply.

Is yours a 2020 a GTS?

I'm interested to hear if it's just the JB4 or the 2020s in general. I'm leased, so a piggyback is all I could do.

Done JB4 on plenty of 2020 models without issue.

Howdy. Because of your 1st post, my wife had to watch a YouTube video on how an ICE operates, so she could begin to understand why high performance spark plugs are a thing. She said, "I could watch that video fifteen times and learn something new each time." :)
Then we ran out of time. When my wife is sitting next to me, I end up going "places" on the Net I'd never visit. :D

Weird they changed the ECU so much mid cycle. Wonder why?

Caveat.. I'm going by what John at Tork said about the calibration file on my car
I was in the shop when he was looking at your file so +1 on the legit scale that it is very different....

Care to elaborate on what the differences are? Just out of curiosity.

Looks like GTS are all 2020s.

That's incorrect. All of the GTS are 2019s. The autoblogs got it wrong, big time. When the GTS actually reached dealerships all of them had "2019" Monroney stickers. By the time Kia actually started selling 2020 Stingers in the U.S. all of the GTSs had already been sold. The orange Stingers currently being produced (2020 model year) are GT2s not GTSs.

Here is a customers log from a 2020 I looked at today. Seems same as 19s and all previous. He's on E30 this run.

@Thorn or Tork would be able to explain better but the maps you want to modify are at certain offsets/ locations. When you go to start making changes things are not where you expect them. The values and patterns should be the same so can find them again but that takes time. Sounds like there were also some new things as well like possible some stuff carried over from the GTS, which might be a good thing. Comparing different files helps solve the puzzle.
