Hello All,
I would like to introduce myself to everyone! I live in San Antonio, TX and have been into racing and modifying and racing cars for almost 25 years. The Stinger is the second turbo car (well, actually, my wife just bought the 2020 Soul GT Line Turbo) that I have owned. My fist turbo car was a, 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST, that I bought new and ultimately built into a 500 front whp "parts-breaking" machine. If anyone is familiar with the 4G63 motors that were part of the DSM cars it was a fun platform to modify.
I have had my Stinger for a little over a week and I can truly say I don't have any regrets with my purchase. I love the torque of the twin turbo V6 and Kia has done an amazing job with the overall balance that the Stinger provides the driver. My purchasing decision came down to the Stinger and a Charger 392 Scat Pack. Between the two, I could feel the engineering difference of the Stinger during the test drives of the two cars. The Charger is probably the car I would have chose if I were younger but being a little older now I wanted more of a balance of performance and the driving experience. To me, the Stinger was the choice. From what I have been reading the n54 is a great platform that doesn't take much to make it a lot faster. I am sure in the near future there will be some mods going on such as a JB4 tune, intakes, and exhaust to start. Looking forward to getting involved in the forums and learning from everyone!
