Facebook stated the MSRP would be $58k. Hard to believe even if for a GT2 AWD. )
Cheers
Damn. Maybe because of tariffs??? If that’s true, I am glad I bought mine when I did even though I don’t have the 360 camera I really wanted. But I really doubt MSRP will increase. If they make that mistake they might as well discontinue the car now.
$5.5k more over current MSRP is hardly anything to scoff at, especially since this is competing with cars that will *still* be $15-20k above it, at that price. And if that price is going up, you can wonder if the Germans are going to have to increase prices as well. A single note does not indicate the entire picture. If they make that mistake they might as well discontinue the car now.

- Not cutting big-dollar deals with cell phone providers to offer SIM card service to the cars (I'm fuzzy on the numbers here, but I would expect this to save KIA an up-front contract cost somewhere near 100k to provide continuous support and service, plus a recurring monthly bill for however long they decide to cover the cost for the buyer (typically 3 years I think)
Why did they reduce the speedometer max from 180 to 160? some kind of regulation?
I believe the 18" AWD packages are capped at 167 mph so my guess is to make it look more clear that you don't get to go as fast
The 19" GTs are capped at 167. 18" versions are in the 130s or 140s .
I think the Aussie 2019s come with a snake bite kit and shark repellent .........................I have all of that now except the mood lighting in cabin and speed reduction! Oh and no heated steering wheel which is useless over here as its so hot.
Can you name another mass production vehicle that successfully competed in its category with cars $20k more expensive? This is a revolution in the sport sedan category, no one's ever done something like this before from a brand such as Kia. Nothing really to compare to except speculation. Can you name another mass production vehicle that was successful after a increase in price by over 10% from one year to another without a major redesign?
