2018 model vs 2019 stinger GT in Australia

Canadians got the best first year Stinger. Other markets are just catching up. Only thing I want is the adjustable seating buttons on the side of the passenger seat, which I believe is only offered in the Korean market.

My Aussie 2018 GT (GT2 for the North Americans) has the adjustable seating buttons on the passenger seat. So as we only missed out on the interior mood lighting you could argue the Australian market got the best first year Stinger

Yeah that is a strange omission in the top-spec. Feature inclusions worldwide are truly baffling, must be the local divisions arm wrestling with the bean counters.

Hmmm......mood lighting or passenger seat adjustment......personally, I like the mood lighting! Have received lots of compliments from passengers on it. Can't believe they didn't offer that to Australia.....why go through the effort of stripping that out for a different market segment. And unlike the wireless Qi charger and cup holder lid, it's not something that's easily addable.

NOPE! Next time you're in your car, turn your head to the right. You will not see these buttons.

Now, you may ask why you would want these buttons and how often you would use them. Well, I have a tall friend who has to move the passenger seat all the way back for him to sit in. I then have to return the passenger seat to it's previous position because it interferes with my vision when looking back to reverse park or checking blindspot. Or if someone is sitting behind the passenger seat, that person can move the seat up if he/she is getting squished. I would consider importing this one seat from South Korea if it was possible.

I came from the K900, in that car the rear passenger would move the front seats from the rear console. I don’t see why a imported seat won’t work.

The MY18 had the wireless charger, but not the cup holder lid. The MY19 has the mood lighting but not the cup holder lid. Who knows why they do what they do. They should be the same the world over. You’d think that would make production easier

You have a MY19? the dealer told me that there were none in the country until April? is that not correct? I need the car urgently and although they said they could replace with a MY19, i can't wait that long need it now (my work car)

Also if it's new for old policy with NRMA they have to give you a 2019 one as far as I'm aware.

Yes I have a MY19. I got mine Aug 2018.

Do you mean 2019 Build? Maybe that’s why there are none until April, there should be 2018 built MY19’s available.

Mate I looked through a black MY19 at Cardiff Kia (NSW) today, not sure of the build date I didn’t pop the bonnet but it’s definitely an MY19. Currently listed for $58,771
