You aren't a fanboy. I'm sorry if I was confusing you. In my opinion, there is a fan and a fanboy.
$38.5K is a great deal on a GT1 w/ the Driver Assist Pack. That ranges in the 44K sticker range, I believe. Good buy.
The GT2 is the only KIA Stinger that will cost more than the Q50 RS (assuming the average 8-15K off discounts Infiniti usually gives on the Q.) From what I saw on forums, through research on both the Stinger/Q50 for my cousin, Q buyers tend to have got their car for at least 8K off and some on the high end of 15K off).
Again - if you are looking for a car with 340i/C43 AMG performance for under 40K, the GT1 is the choice to be. It pretty much gives you all the performance, all the power, all the handling, and the RWD for thousands less. If that's what your looking for, its the clear choice. Which is why I still stated it was a good car. The thing is - I think the Q50 RS might be better but that's subjected to the cost of the car.
The way I see it is - because Acura/Lexus don't have a 340i/C43 AMG/S4 competitor. People who like Japanese cars will be forced to buy a Infiniti Q50 RS if they pretty much want a Japanese "Version" of the 340i/C43 AMG/S4. The Q50 RS is the way for the Japanese to undercut the German competition for business. Just like the way the KIA Stinger is undercutting the luxury competition for business. This is why I also think its hard to compare a Q50 RS to a Stinger. Its pretty much comparing a luxury sports car to a sports car. (Side note: I know Infiniti isn't as "luxurious" as say the German counterparts - but it is still a luxury vehicle. The Q50 RS interior still reminds you with premium feeling material. Things like the snitching and patterned seats all the way to soft touch material for the knees and etc...)
Please - lets be fair about this. If you are going to compare car times, use the car times from the same article source. Meaning - you should quote MotorTrend for the Q50 RS then use MotorTrend for the RWD Stinger. The way you did was pick and choose articles. This leaves you with a bias swing. You posted the time where the KIA Stinger GT was faster purposely to prove a point.
According to MotorTrend, the KIA Stinger GT did 60 in 4.8 Seconds and quarter mile to 13.3 seconds at 106.9 MPH.
"Korean-branded cars usually aren't synonymous with performance, but the rear-drive Stinger GT launches from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and clocks the standing quarter mile in 13.3 seconds at 106.9 mph."
Like you said - the Infiniti Q50 RS did it 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile at 13 second and 109 MPH.
For the Car and Driver times: You have the Q50 RS reaching 60 at 4.5 with the Stinger GT reaching it at 4.4. Similarity - the 1/4 for the Q50 RS is 13 flat with the Stinger GT at 12.9.
The .1 second difference could be the car or driver input.
Define the time show you want to but please next time, use the same source for the same car.
