Ya think? Has any attempt yielded a, “that was me!”? I don’t thinks so, but we keep trying!Nice catch! I think some Stinger owners are not on the forums.

It's not really that we think our sightings WILL be other members. It's that we know it will really be a coup if our sighting DOES turn out to be another member.I don't know why so many of you think that sightings will be from members of the Stinger Forum. We have, what, c. 4K members? Maybe ten percent are not even owners of a Stinger (yet). If c. 16K Stingers are on the road worldwide, that is less than one out of four Stingers that could possibly be represented here. So, less than one out of four to one out of five chance that somebody seeing a Stinger In The Wild will also be seeing a Stinger Forum member. And that's not even counting the reduction of a chance meeting because many forum members post once or twice and disappear.![]()
Ah, "fishing". The first one to "catch" a Stinger Forum member sighting at the same time as a Stinger In The Wild will become famous, among the few who know. It's not really that we think our sightings WILL be other members. I think the Aussies have an unfair advantage over everybody else. And, in fact, iirc, at least one of them has done this "was that you, that was me", thing, back there a ways.Ah, "fishing". "I've seen more Stinger Forum Stingers than anybody else"
I saw 2 at last month's cars and coffee.....I have not seen any Stinger Forum Stingers yet.![]()
They weren't "Wild" then, were they? You planned the "hunt" with certified Stinger owners. So, no fair.I saw 2 at last month's cars and coffee.....
Gee, I wasn't ever thinking of sightings (of members or otherwise) as a competition, but rather just something fun to brighten the day and share with forum friends. But hey, I've seen 5 truly in the wild. I wasn't counting them before, but I saw 6 in the semi-wild when I was at Design Headquarters in Irvine (3 or more of us were on the forum at that time). So I guess I win, and I wasn't even competing! What's my prize?Ah, then this turns into a "I've seen more Stinger Forum Stingers than anybody else" contest.
I haven't even seen a single Stinger In The Wild, yet.
Not jealousy: Stinger Sighting Envy.Gee, I wasn't ever thinking of sightings (of members or otherwise) as a competition, but rather just something fun to brighten the day and share with forum friends. You'll see another one eventually, but you might have to drop down to SoCal to see them in herds.
I'll be in So Cali probably in November. And I will definitely be keeping my eyes opened. But without hope. Not jealousy: Stinger Sighting Envy. And it's all in fun, including turning this into a contest. We're made this way. Everything gets compared to everyone else. Have fun!
I have yet to see you as well, and I do keep a look out.I’m typically driving around the same time, but have never seemed to catch you.
Compared to me and my wife (80yrs), they were pretty wild. They weren't "Wild" then, were they? You planned the "hunt" with certified Stinger owners. So, no fair.
