hi mate .. when you removed the rear kia badge did it have holes.. I'm planning on changing the kia to the stinger script badge
hey mate, fishing line was all i used. best way to line up the script on the back is to lay down some masking tape first and get that straight and then place the badge inside the taped area.and how did you go about removing the kia badges? fishing line?
what's the best way to alight the stinger script at the back
2 holes at the back, 3 at the front. Changed my badges on the weekend.
And yes, I'm aware you can see that I'm naked in the photos -try taking a picture of a shiny surface without a reflection....
I think ive heard one trick is to loosen the adhesive by using a hairdyer first.I've tried fishing line and can't pop it off
Hey Madman,
wheel caps look great with the K badges, Have you just stuck a K badge over the top of the original KIA logo badge or has the whole wheel cap been replaced? Where is the best place to buy the better quality K badges to do this?
Thanks,
hope your enjoying the car, mine is still a month away.....................................
Are your k badges slightly different from the standard? From the photos they appear to have a blue reflective tinge. You didnt opt for the stinger script then? The K badge for the wheels fits straight over the existing KIA badge. Its shaped to fit perfectly.
I got mine here https://www.k5optimastore.com/ If you email them and tell them you're a forum member they'll give you a code which gets you a discount sales@k5optimastore.com
I'm loving the car, haven't found anything I don't like. The satnav (maps) are ordinary and using it is not intuitive (unlike the Holden one as an example) but I'm getting used to it. Worth the wait!
They do have a blue background and matt black finish...I like the blue background against the metallic blue of my car. There are plenty of options. I'm happy with the smaller script and the K badge. Even with the KIA badges I was getting a lot of people looking and asking - service stations are where I get the most questions. Are your k badges slightly different from the standard? One thing I did, and it was from the instructions on the site I got my badges from, was to use a flat plastic card (gift card or membership card without embossed lettering - finally found a use for the gym membership) and, after the fishing line, force it under the badge to break the adhesive. Even after you've used the fishing line/dental floss etc the section between the pins sticks like, well, really sticky stuff......the longer you work at the existing badge the easier it will be to get off.I think ive heard one trick is to loosen the adhesive by using a hairdyer first.
Gents, got out of work today and my right rear is flat as a tack... Anyone know how u remove the Kia wheel cap logo..... I haven't had the car long enough to look into any of this!
Nope, bit of air....will be fine. (ouch).I hope I am not up for a new tyre....
A tyre place should be able to put a plug in that for $30-$40 dollars.I hope I am not up for a new tyre....
