I found out about this with my optima. Towels have never been used on the stinger.
Have you guys been going around and around "buffing" your cars with towels? Because that is not what I do. I take a thoroughly soaked bath towel to an area to soak up the light dirt from dust and dried water/rain spots. Then I dry with as little "action" as necessary to absorb the water so that it won't dry spotted. No rubbing the car down.I found out about this with my optima. All i know is ive stopped using a chamois as is gave me swirl marks. I now dry the car with a leaf blower which gets the water out of the crevices and i do t even touch the car. Foam gun wash first , spray off, then seconds wash with a noodle glove, rinse then dry. Its quick and gives a great finish before wax etc.
You forgot the big guns lol….let me get it right, that was a Foam gun not a Blow gun...
…. a Leaf Blower,not a Flame Blower...
what is interesting is, where the Noodle Glove fit into this
I thought they use Rubber Glove for swirly marks in or out of crevices!![]()

Nicely done and subtle. How much did all that detail work cost you?

I maintain service records in a spreadsheet where everything about my cars are documented. This includes: Gas Mileage, Lease/purchase Info, upgrades, etc....I didn't do anything "to" my Stinger today. But I did go over to the service department and have them sign and stamp my first two maintenances. Only this morning did I realize/remember that I have a maintenance and service schedule in the warranty book. Heh! I definitely want to keep up on all of that. The reason why I didn't think of it on my own is because I've never had a brand new car before, so I've never thought about keeping a continuous record of service, maintenance and repairs done on a vehicle. I've always just let my mechanic look things up in his computer records.
That is very OC cool. I don't have but the one car (wife has her own car, of course, far from new and never kept a service record on it). So this is a massive upgrade in my owner behavior, to even keep the maintenance log book up to date.I maintain service records in a spreadsheet where everything about my cars are documented. As I get older, the more someone asks about when something happened and I don't even come close to the actual date. Document everything.....That is very OC cool. Ah, I see the process beginning at my end. If I make it to 82, at this rate, I'll be right where you are on this one!As I get older, the more someone asks about when something happened and I don't even come close to the actual date. Document everything.....
