No, too beefy. A big, lazy lion. Burst of speed possible, but only on demand. And it can corner plenty well. "Awkward turtle", indeed!:rolleyes:
 
If by "true GT Sedan" you mean pay c. $70K+ then I agree; it's not.

But that was the whole shtick: Get close in everything BUT cost.

Incredible low end torque, steady power delivery to near redline, nice soft rev limiter. However Kia mill is soulless. But it’s no slouch! My less powerful Porsche Boxster flat Six sings to near 8000 rpm and is just soulful powerplant that begs to be shifted at redline every shift. Same thing with my hemi V8 offers great experience with less speed.

And I mean Awkward turtle in terms of a great race circuit car. Too heavy , automatic tranny , too narrow fenders, motor that hasn’t had much race car development etc. it really doesn’t fit well in any series here or abroad.

Well, see? You're comparing apples and oranges. And you are jaded (aka spoiled). The Stinger isn't singing to you, it is appealing to newbies like me. If I had come the road to the Stinger that you apparently have, I'd be comparing tachometers and torque too. But the Stinger is its own proposition: a balancing act that works and impresses, all based on the total product and price ratio.

I would say an SUV is beefy, after driving one for the past 3 years this is feeling more like a Cheetah.

Well, that's a bit like changing the goalposts, imho! Now I could say an SUV (any of them) are svelte compared to a Mack truck, which is "beefy"! I thought we were comparing gran turismo style cars, including those designed for the track.

Not really? My Dodge with Hemi was cheaper and I have had plenty of more soulful six cylinders from Japan and Germany. Anyone who has spent a lot of time driving sports GT cars will get what I’m saying. And you’d be surprised at how little I spent on my new fully loaded Boxster S ...not much more than the Stinger GT2. And I have probably owned 40 plus cars over years cheap and not so cheap. You’d be surprised at my favorite cars. Many of them 4 bangers. Don’t get me wrong the Kia 3.3 TT is a bargain of an engine and it does everything right. It’s just a bit boring especially with an auto trans.

But hey getting back on topic. Cool to see these guys developing car. Nice to know with coilovers and some neg camber we can squeeze 265 tire under front fenders.

You are such a gearhead. This is the main factor in any apparent difference of opinion. Such a car is utterly new, "undiscovered country" to this middle aged boy. :P
