Just destroyed a type R

The video you're referencing isn't a 460 hp mustang. It's one of the older ones (probably 2013ish) and it has a manual transmission.

FWIW a 2018 Mustang (the 460 hp you mention) with automatic transmission would absolutely beat a Stinger.

Mod Edit: Changed a word
Not in this video. AWD Stinger beat 460 hp 10speed auto over ...and over ...and over.

That (the drag race portion) is really surprising considering the A10 Mustang GT runs 11 second quarter miles and the AWD Stinger struggles to get into the 12s.

Maybe the Mustang driver tried to use paddle shifters (if they even have em) or something. Who knows.

Bench racers always amuse me. Car X running suchandsuch time on a prepped drag strip by a professional driver that tried X number of times to get the perfect launch and lowest possible time means diddly on the street in a punch it and go situation.

A punch it and go type of race is likely to favor a twin turbo automatic with immediate low end torque over a rev happy 4 cyclinder manual. Just saying...

It’s not the only video out there with the stang vs the Stinger.

I'm sure it isn't. But it's the first I've seen where a AWD Stinger beats a 2018 A10 Mustang GT.

There are lots of videos out there showing a stock Mustang GT with the A10 going low 12s to high 11s. Conversely I've never seen an AWD Stinger get to low 12s let alone 11s.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Type R probably didn't care to waste the fuel. Those cars are monsters.
Lol. With all due respect I have to disagree. The only place the Type R is a monster is on an Autocross track... On the street and especially in a straight line it would be the Stinger wasting its fuel. Lol jk jk.
GT 0-60=4.4, 1/4m=12.9@111
TypeR 0-60=4.9, 1/4m=13.5@108

But in all seriousness a half second is pretty significant and easily much more if the Type R doesn’t have a great driver.;)

Best case scenario and the way I imagine it, he was trying his hardest!:pWorst case, he couldn’t drive his car and you taught him what the Stinger was all about. Win win either way and thanks for sharing.
