Started my rebadging project

i got my stuff here at the Stinger Store. Just waiting for the front and rear K badges, now. Badges? Badges? Yes I need those stinkin’ badges!

Today I did the horn badge, door jam badges and wheel caps. Sal, I was wrong the drivers door fit perfectly, wasn’t sure how big it actually was, no problem at all.

In an homáge to my old Honda, every T is pointing to the valve.

My only gripe is on the wheel cap the sticky side is white? Why? I can se a bit of white exposed, even sitting fat. It needs to be black. Other than that I took my time and prepped and it all went on easy-peasey.

Also next up, have the mud guards installed. Ceramic tint the rear windows, Xpel Clear Bra the nose, hood and mirrors. First need the paint chip at the hood rear fixed, dealer is doing that.

Yes! Very glad I got that. The other colors would have been wrong and red might have just blended in. Only black chrome would have been perfect but this really stands out. So

More done today, June 5th. Side and rear windows tinted with Rayno ceramic tint. Darkest on hatch, medium on side rear, legal on front side. Mud/rock guards, and rear K badge. Happy with results. Next week is Clear Bra and front badge. Included a couple of before pictures but I think you all know what the car looks like. Heheheh.
My pics didn’t go up in the order I selected. The K is one early.

This episode is; Xpel Clear Bra on nose, full hood and mirrors. Rebadge front, and roof wrap. (I’ll thank the forum member when I find who inspired me on the roof).

This may be my last interior mod and near the last one for now. Waiting on a front license plate frame. Got the kit on Ebay and the instructions were in Korean and the pictures really didn’t help. I just did the best I could figure with the included 3M tape rectangles and what appears to be Lexan spacer blocks. The did stick but if you press hard on them you can tell they don’t lay flat. Still, they fit snug to the shape and look much nicer than the black plastic.
This is the passenger front door. The kit has all four.

They are falling off. First the drivers door yesterday when I parked outside.
Today the passenger door fell off. The 3M cushioned tape is not holding to the door.
I wrote to the Ebay seller. I’m needless to say, very disappointed.

Te ones i got look exactly the same but didn't come with 3m tape...came with some white foam double sided tape on the back of them. Needless to say they didn't stick too well, kept coming off and rattling. got some 3m and put it on with that and haven't ad them come off since.

This also had spacer blocks. Enough for two on each. I was stupid and didn’t take a before shot of the kit. I’ll report if they fall off, it was 3M cushioned double sided tape and the blocks had solid tape on one side to stick to the back of the plate. I wish it was premounted so I had the correct mounting position done. I did a best guess. It’s Ebay you takes your chances. The plates look and feel nice, brushed aluminum and etched lettering.

No, they’re solid. No lights.

If you're referring to the badges below - that's not an official Kia design. That's just something that some guy on the internet made up...
