The shops FB page says they had an 18psi tune. So I don’t think he’s on a piggyback. That was with the piggy back too. In the comments section he says that he didn't have his flash tune on the car...
Yeah that car got the ecu tune. He has dyno vids on you tube. Over 3 tenths just going from box to tune is pretty impressive. The shops FB page says they had an 18psi tune. So I don’t think he’s on a piggyback.
I must have read the comment section incorrectly. The shops FB page says they had an 18psi tune. So I don’t think he’s on a piggyback.
Took mine to the track fr the first time. Stock AWD, running 93 using LC. 13.447 at 104.72.. 60ft of 2.073.. 1/8 of 8.720 at 83.02
This thing is a dog off the line..plenty of hesitation. This could be a 12 second car with better launch control. tried putting her in comfort mode to see if I could brake torque it passed 2K rpm, but it wouldn't have any of it and ended up with a 13.7...still got more experimenting to do.
Lots of pictures taken and comments fom spectators and other racers..nothing but great comments.
My AWD ran 13.009 at 106 mph
Drag times web site has a calculator to normalize your runs for altitude, temp, b pressure and humidity. Pick the track and the day, time and they give you the weater info and altitude. Good tool to see how your car as running compared to differnt days.
Last night i ran in the sportsman class against almost entirely american v8s with slicks and open headers that arrived on a trailer. 12s was the most common time in this class . Felt kind of funny rolling up in my korean, quiet , street tired car i drove to the trackin and running 12s with them. If the launch control was more consistent it would be a decent drag car. We do give up .3 to. 4 on the launch to a same ET car albeit with slicks and a high stall converter . But with AWD we should do better.
Did you use Launch Control on this run?i Have an update for you guys. I have a new time for yall. My girl ran a 12.509 at 111.63 with a 1.944 60", a reaction of a garbage .358. a 1/8th mile of 8.106 at 88.69. Nothing to slouch at with just simple mods of 1 step cooler plugs, lap3 tuner, mufflers off and damnfast DD intkes. Next time yall will get is new downpipes with secondary cats off and eibach lowering springs.
Do you have a pic of the your time slips? I was thinking of heading to PR during the next T&T and seeing what a stock AWD GT will do.Fastest Stingers so far:
Jamie Williams AWD 12.509
(Lap3, muffler off, tork intakes, 19s, 92 octane, elev 29 ft)
Tork RWD 12.12
(ECU tune, no muffler or secondary CAT, tork intakes, FMIC upgrade, 19s, 92 octane, elev 350ft)
