3.3TT Eibachs

It’s only around 1 inch nothing crazy. I have a bad back anyway so what’s another inch.

My concern as a family car ...how much is the height reduction with me and 3 passengers (70 kgs each aprox) and/or plus their suitcases (let's say what the airlines allow, 23 kg each aprox)....:cautious:

Yes sir good point

It will be an inch lower than stock suspension in every situation. No one in the car, 1” lower than stock. 700lbs of people and luggage, 1” lower than stock.

In the second situation it’s likely to be less than 1” as the springs are progressive as in they get stiffer under more load.

It would take significant weight to cause any bottoming out/rubbing issues.

Thank you very much Sir, your answer is perfectly clear.

Yo need some info my mechanic just put springs in doing alignment now said car doesn’t look like it dropped as much as advertised.said it looks like less the inch. Car is gt rear wheel drive. Will it drop more or is that it.

Typically cars will settle a bit more after the install is done. (Kinda scary your mechanic doesn't know that)

Well that is what he said it will settle and I understand that also. You think it will settle another half inch.

Boy it’s funny how eibachs website said there pro springs come pre compressed to full coil bind so there should not be much of any settling at all

It’s only 200 pounds difference spread threw whole car. It’s not like it’s 500 plus

The extra weight is in the front as that’s where the additional diff and axles are.

Also the AWD cars ride .2” higher in the front stock.

Eibach lists the RWD springs as being a .8” drop both front and rear. That’s less of a drop than what I was told by their customer service when buying my springs but it’s also less than what I actually measured.

Also unless your mechanic measured fender to ground height before and after he’s not going to be able to eyeball the difference between .8” and 1”.

Frankly I’m happy the springs don’t drop as much as advertised on RWD. I’m not looking to slam my car just want stiffer suspension.

@chris anderson what are the offsets you’re running on those wheels? Looks perfect on that drop (apologies of this has already been asked)

Just got my springs put in and was slightly disappointed that the drop wasn't what I expected. So, I went hunting and found out something I didn't know. On the AWD GT2 the drop is 1.2"/1.4" but on the RWD GT1 such as mine the drop is only 0.8"/0.8". It is noticeable but not what I wanted. When I looked at the Eibach site I apparently didn't look at the specs for the RWD. Too late now.

Hey I did mine today also. My thoughts exactly. But car still looks a lot better like it should have been from kia. They had a little bit to much gap stock
