• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

LED Rear Combination Lights does not mean LED Blinker...
Just light and breaklight.
You can order the LED Blinkers as option by package for some lower trims.
The fully loaded GT have it by factory, the only option is there the sunroof...

What do you base that on? Just curious.

Hi Richard,

Can you please tell me what date your dealer originally placed an order on the factory for you car as I'm trying to work out the time frame from order date to your 23/08 production completion date.

I ordered my car exactly two months ago and the document from the dealer today still does not confirm a build date but I would think by now this must be scheduled and confirmed for some time in October as he is telling me the car will be here in November and shipping takes a month. I don't want to commit to the contract unless he can verify a production completion and delivery date in writing. He is offering me zero discount so I don't want to lock myself in now to later find out my car is delayed until next year. If this is the case I might as well ring every dealer in town to see if anyone is willing to offer a better price.

Thanks,

Hi Tazztattoo,

If your car is a 3.3 and was ordered in August, like our cars you will receive them in November. We have cars ordered from that same cycle and our ETA is late November. Worse case it would be some time in December. Would doubt it would be next year. I must urge you though to commit to the contract if you want this car. Without a signed contract of sale the dealer does not have to hold this car for you and can sell it to the next in line.

I don't think you will get a better price on this car. Dealers cannot get these cars in large quantities so are in no hurry to start discounting them. If you don't take the order and the dealer sells it, after all the have the right to without any firm commitment on the car, you will not see one before February. We have customers at our dealership lining up to take the first cancelled order or finance failover vehicle.

Hope this somewhat helps you.

My mail is North America and Europe are getting priority hence the delay to a country who probably has less than 1% of the worlds vehicle. Sorry.

Not sure that is true. KMAu is receiving the Stinger before KMA. Australia has just launched, USA have not as yet.

Thanks Tazztattoo. I did check out the brochure. was not sure cos not clearly defined.

1. Just Says Temporary spare!! In the video posted above or here:
you can see in the boot a tyre well? is that if you wanted an actual spare or is it only available on the 4cyl
2. The brochure says ventilated but not whether they are DRILLED holes and some slotted.
4. wonder if I could place some LED indicator lights in there myself!

Unfortunately there would not be adequate space to place LED indicator lights in there without making holes in the body. The purpose of the garnish is because the tail lights don't wrap around the body and a strip of plastic/lens had to travel down the rear qtr panel for it to meet ADR and also many other compliance requirements around the world.

Well, I'm pleased for all the Aussies who were relying on pretty ordinary communication from KMAu and didn't "pre-order" their cars in April/May. Just relaying what I've been told previously by 2 of your peer dealers. Thanks for clearing that up.

His acne.

Not until November....or maybe December, no wait.....

and wait....

Hi guys, I have been having a read through the forum and thought I would sign up and see if I can help answer any questions.
We should be expecting to see the New Kia Stinger arriving at Perth dealers in the coming days, just waiting on Kia Australia to hit the button.

As you can imagine we are all very excited to see this car in our dealership and having driven one myself it is well worth the wait.
A real game changer for Kia. Please feel free to private message me if you have any questions or would like to arrange a test drive.

Good to see you dealers now jumping on the bandwagon of the forums just to get some extra sales. You have given no added info because you probably know less than us. Good to hear from you Skyguy any new info on the NZ dates

Yep, dealers clearly know the same as (less than) us....just been given a revised date for mine NOW being 12/11/17 when I was told just 2 weeks ago it'd be here in the next 2 weeks. Apparently it's due to production delays due to demand....WTF???

Anyone from KMAu (cute little u on the end there btw) want to actually talk in this forum to their "customers" and explain what "pushing the button" actually means? Perhaps the button is caught up in production delays? Worst launch of a new product since Vegemite 2.0......

And, whilst I'm venting......the fact that every US dealer is running YouTube adverts with real live cars and have "launched" a brochure seems to suggest to me they may be a little more advanced than one of the previous posters suggests....

Starting to get seriously frustrated - and here come all the dealers telling me that they can sell the car 10 times over if I walk away....well, gentlemen (and ladies) selling it is one thing - delivering it is another!

What does the brochure actually say? The only "option" for Aus GT's is metallic paint. Hence why I was curious you were able to definitively advise that they're an option for some of the Aus cars.

Anyway.....

The "real" GT is the same all over the world.
Just the lower lines are different from country to country.
I had to ask KIA Switzerland, too.
Because they don't listed it in the Switzerland Specs...
They ask in Korea and get the answer above.

Tomtom that’s not correct the GT is not the same as The Aussie specs have already change from the Korean version. Such as no heated rear seats or steering wheel and different centre console.

Welcome Perth Kia.

As you are one of the lucky one's to have driven this anticipated vehicle, can you confirm that the GT will have auto start and rear LED indicators please?
