Hey all! I'm Rob in Delaware and I just bought a Stinger! I picked up a 2019 GT2 with . . . only 8,347 miles. Six years old but barely driven. I'm a car guy - Datsun 280Z, two Acura Integras, an Acura 3.0 CL, a Lincoln Mark VIII, a C5 Corvette, BMW 128i, BMW 328i Touring have been my fun cars (along with an assortment of dad cars and a couple of pickups). Current cars are the Corvette and the two BMWs. The Stinger is replacing the E91 (the 2010 328i wagon).
I was looking at 2018 and 2019 BMW 640i GTs (similar 4 door hatchback config as the Stinger) but very few were sold and I was having trouble finding the specific spec I wanted. Decided to take a look at the Stinger, which I have always admired, and went to look at one at my local Carmax, thinking it was a higher trim level than I wanted (due to cost) but this thing is so clean, so few miles, it's like a six-year old new car. So I opened up the wallet a bit wider and did the deal. My 128i is Little Red so the Stinger is now known as Big Red.
Anyway, looking forward to new adventures with a new and different car. I'm active in the local Corvette Club and the BMW club. Doubt there's a local Stinger club . . .

Welcome aboard! I’m glad you found our little corner of the universe. :)

Welcome to the squad Rob!

Wow, finding a GT2 from 2019 with so few miles is like winning the lottery!

I think you will appreciate just how much the Stinger has to offer compared to the BMW.

I switched from a BMW to a Stinger, and it's been one of the best decisions I have made car wise.

You will find a ton of great info here but hit me up if you ever need discounts or have any questions.

Thanks, Dan. I still love my BMWs - the E91 has been a fantastic daily driver for eight years and I've finally got it set up just how I want it so will be sorry to see it go. The 128 is a fantastic back twisty roads pocket rocket and may be the car with the most smiles per mile I've ever owned. However, these are both from the E-Series cars which still had a somewhat analog feel (real hydraulic power steering!). While the 2018-19 640 GT looked to pretty much meet my wants and needs, I just became concerned with the potential upkeep costs. You know what happens with deferred maintenance on any car but especially on BMWs! And I like the idea of owning a sports sedan/GT from a maker not previously known for such cars. I'm more interested in the driving experience than worrying if the badge on the hood carries big status. I'll be checking out your website (but will need to wait awhile before starting any mods because . . . well, I have this wife see . . . )
