What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Swapped in SuperBrightLEDs for the reverse bulbs: 921 / 912 / T15 CANbus LED Bulbs - 30 SMD LEDs - Cool White / Amber / Red

It was surprisingly easy to take the rear light bar out, do the swap and reinstall. I’ve been using SuperBrightLEDs on several vehicles for years and found theirs to be reliable. I’ll try to grab a night photo soon if I can remember.

Also, did a wash to get it looking right.
I would do that LED backup light upgrade, but I absolutely do not want to pull parts off my car. The very little I have done up till now has reinforced that perspective.

For what it's worth, I found the swap very quick & easy on my 2022 (new taillight style); maybe 15 minutes including double checking fitment. No issues getting the lights out, putting them back, or with bulb length.

I suspect the concerns some expressed about resistance when removing/replacing involved the threaded studs catching on the edges where they slide through, but I did not need any prying, nor use the nuts to pull things flush (just a tab or two with my palm to fully seat them).

Just noticed that someone got me back while I was at the office this morning! I’m thinking I’ll leave them on all day! I love a good prank

I wouldn't risk it, those look big enough to throw your tire balance off.

after being annoyed at last oil change using the vacuum extractor, i added the Valvomax oil drain system (have it on wife's and previous cars) and a boat inspection hatch for the oil drain plug.

the Valvomax replaces the drain plug, so no more sockets, torquing, or crush washers ... you just twist on the little hose connector and the oil starts flowing through the hose.

took the rear belly pan off, cut a hole for the boat hatch under the drain plug, and attached. now i just twist off the cover for access to the oil drain.

so next oil change should be a piece of cake! :D

Just the usual nonsense today... i like to remove and replace the dump pipes just to see how long it takes!

This car hasn't blown any smoke for a few months, so it's time to put the catless dump pipes back on for my 18psi retune in 2 weeks.

Hopefully that breather from Tork Motorsports turns up this year ?

And after the tune, hopefully it doesn't blow smoke again?

Interesting that on the R/H side the exducer was free spinning and no shaft play, but the L/H side had a little bit of play until I spun it and the oil circulated then it didn't have shaft play... weird ?

What a freaking gearhead you are. Fun, fun, fun. The level of interest is impressive.

just did whatever service package from the dealership for the car, granted it is 6 years now though so didn't think it would hurt. Granted I'm not sure if the spark plug tuneup is needed? If anyone wants to chime in. Cars currently at 38,800KMs (24k miles essentially) I know that the TTV6 kinda eats spark plugs, but is this too early??

Never too early for maintenance items mate...
