Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Personally. 91 octane on Map 2 doesn't sound like a good idea. Plus the factory gap size at 36 is making a recipe for disaster. :(
I agree and all the reviews seem to spell it out pretty clearly.

Map 2 running 16psi is a lot of extra boost for mid grade gas, especially with wide 36 gapped plugs. Sounds like re-gapping to 25 would eliminate some issues but still wouldn’t suggest running Map 2 on 91 gas. More boost needs higher octane and smaller gaps so in theory issues should be eliminated if both rules are followed. Hopefully people heed the warnings and Map 1 is enough extra power for anyone without access to 93.

Haha...

Yep, it gets dropped off at the dealership Tuesday to replace anything, oil change and hatch creaking (I know that’s a 5 minute fix but they can do it)

Then on Thursday, springs get installed and plugs will be gapped

Oh lordy, I give up lol :poop:. Are you gonna Re-gap?

Perfectly said

I've been running 93 octane on map 1 for a week now with no issues. Hopefully regapping the plugs works for map 2. I'll give that a shot once there is a guide and it seems to be working.

Only other thing I can think of (because I have pretty much zero experience with TT cars and tunes) is that maybe some cars are gapped differently from the factory?

From what I've been reading, The manufacturer generally sticks to the same spec across the board. Makes troubleshooting and cost easier and cheaper. Read this on another forum, makes sense to me.

I have not re gap mine yet. Waiting for the parts to come in. New coils and plugs

That would be awesome. I might be willing to ship mine to them for a few dyno runs with map 1 & 2. If someone who has a Race Chip would get on board we could get some interesting testing done.

Update: I commented to Tork Motorsports that I'd be willing to loan them my JB4 for a map 1 & 2 test. They replied back that they feel like all piggyback tunes are the same with different connections. So, unfortunately a comparison won't be happening from them.

From what I've seen and read, the owner is very anti-piggyback and prefers not to use them at all.

Isn't he running the lap3 in his latest video lol

Lol quite possibly!!! I'm just going by posts he's made previously as well as a YouTube video he posted. His POV may well have changed since then, so I suppose I shouldn't be speaking for @Sales@Tork as they are also on this forum and can clarify personally :)

Sal, there are reviews in here. Unfortunately they've basically been lost in the fray.
Any hints as to what pages to look through? This is becoming a pretty big topic...

What we need to do is point out to anyone reviewing from this point forward to create a new discussion thread for their review. "If you see something, say something"! :p

Looks like it starts at pg 4 or 5.
