Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Right on!!! So I just need the dealer to replace and gap.... Did you do it yourself or have a shop do it? I would honestly do it myself, but I just don’t want to deal with the manifold..

They are already irridium also haha

I just pull spark plug on cylinder 2 which is on the driver side. It was crack.

It sounds a lot like my old Dodge Avenger where the intake manifold has to come off in order to change the passenger bank of plugs. If that is the case it isn't terrible, but to be honest I've not looked heavily into it yet.

I've moved the car up to 93 octane today, and i'll be testing maps one and two again this weekend as there is going to be some clear weather (finally!). If WOT boost still winds up being a problem i'll pull the drivers side banks and see what gap the car is running at. I wonder if there is a gap variance perhaps on one of the productions line from the factory, that is not showing up until we apply more boost? We'd need to have a few people that aren't having issues also pull their plugs and measure the gap they wound up with from factory.
I believe the gaps are 36. Also, 93 is your best bet :thumbup:
 
Yes the gap are around 36 or 37. The highest octane I can get is 91 unless I really want to get 100 octane.
 
91 octane. It ran good for awhile then is started to stutter.

Personally. 91 octane on Map 2 doesn't sound like a good idea. Plus the factory gap size at 36 is making a recipe for disaster. :(

91 is the highest octane I can get here where I live. When I log the drive it was hitting 16psi
 
Is a cracked plug something that can be cause by lower octane fuel with higher boost?

I've got a tank of 93 in mine right now and have put about 35 miles on the JB4 since last night. I've given it maybe 4 or 5 strong WOT pulls in those miles but mostly just cruising.

I'm pretty paranoid about this while driving around. I'm always looking for a place that I can potentially pull over to disconnect it if necessary.

@Hung tran are you re-gapping and re-installing yours today or do you have to order more?

Could be the constant misfire underload is destroying the plugs, unsure. Maybe the ECU is overcompensating, also unsure. Just speculating. In regards to map 1, I've noticed a trend with people running 91 are having misfire issues. Wheres people running 93 have not had any issues. Just speaking whats on my mind, I could be completely wrong lol :lipsaresealed:

Correct, Literary beat the hell out of this car with no issues. (Map 1, 93 octane) Once someone posts a how-to on removing plugs, I'm gonna pull the plugs re-gap to about 28 and try map 2.

Okay, so you and I are in the same boat--93, map 1, no problems. Check.
 
I am using Map 1 and running 93 and have problems.. guess I am lucky like that... lol
