I wonder what the JB4 on map 2 makes with a similar setup. Note: he's using a lap3.
Probably. you can take 5 stock mustangs and put them on 5 different dynos and see 5 different sets of numbers.I don't trust their overall power readings. There's no way a stock GT would make 340 whp.
With that said, the 105 hp difference between his stock numbers and modded numbers are impressive.
I just don't believe the 340/455 whp total is accurate.
Is that the twin chip setup?I wonder what the JB4 on map 2 makes with a similar setup. Note: he's using a lap3.
They have to be pulled.I'm going to reinstall mine tonight and put a couple hundred miles on it over the weekend. Hopefully my luck holds up.
Regarding the stock plugs, can they be regapped while installed or do they have to be pulled?
Wow very impressive and thats almost 550 BHP! The Lap3 seems to be the hottest tune so far and most HP, but imagine the JB4 on map 2+ would be similar. Based on dyno results these both seem to focus a little more on HP, while RaceChip has the advantage on torque.I wonder what the JB4 on map 2 makes with a similar setup. Note: he's using a lap3.
I agree that stock number does seem to be a little high, but multiple reviews and a few tuners have stated our stock engines are very underrated(like BMW). Based on some stock 0-60(4.4) & 1/4m(12.6) times I wouldnt think 400 bhp is too far off.I don't trust their overall power readings. There's no way a stock GT would make 340 whp.
Most stock dyno results I saw were around 330whp for the RWD. 340 is not so far...I don't trust their overall power readings. There's no way a stock GT would make 340 whp.

But either way the fact that we are already pushing 100+ HP within a few months of launch is extremely impressive! At this rate we will be in the 600+HP club in no time.

Does anyone know what octane fuel is being used for that dyno run?I think that is what we should focus on since different dynos around the country will give vastly different results based on manufacturer, temps, humidity, etc, etc, etc, on and on, yadda yadda.
But since they're using the same dyno and same car for their testing it is very good to see the 105 hp increase.
Woah....those are very impressive numbers. They should try other chips and see how they fare against each other.
Yes, would love to see comparisons across the board.Woah....those are very impressive numbers. They should try other chips and see how they fare against each other.
Good info!i'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere already but if anyone is experiencing misfires or hesitations with the jb4, it's been recommended to close the spark plug gaps to about .25
Only able to get 90 here in Alaska. Unless you buy avgas and mix it in...Here in Washington state the highest octane west of the Cascade mountain range is 92...the eastern side has intermittent places to find 93. I think you can get race gas at a few places around here, but not at a regular pump.
