Is it a momentary drop out and you here pops and a hiss or a complete drop out? Just curious as I have that problem with android auto andThis is driving me nuts.. if the car is in accessory mode audio is working fine.. but when I'm driving the car and listening to music via CarPlay the audio has been dropping out randomly since upgrading to iOS 18.
Anyone else experiencing this?
(2018 GT2)
Update: I realized last night that my VPN had been left on since Tuesday, and when I turned that off, CarPlay worked. I did update to 18.1 and turned my VPN on/off just now in the car and that interrupted the CarPlay still. Note to self!As of yesterday my new iPhone 16 will not work with my ‘22 GT2. It recognizes CarPlay for 3 seconds, screen goes black, then it recognizes again. I have tried multiple cords. This was working fine on Monday. IOS 18. I’m going to update to 18.1 and will report back.
Good find, I suspect several people suffer from this same self-inflicted connection issue.
I am thinking it could be coil packs leaking voltage. When I listen to the audio without it running it is fine. When I drive it I have this problem.
Lololol.Either way I thought I could trust this dealership
Yea yea yea.. perhaps trust was too strong a word... perhaps I should have said "I didn't think they were THIS incompetent but clearly I was wrong"...!
