What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Was doing a once-over of her, found a wire dangling under the driver's-side fuse-box, and decided to take a load of her...electrically...

Now I gotta find the pinout diagram, get some coin cells and a magnet, and find a Lime scooter...
it never ceases to amaze me how many Kia dealerships slap these tracking devices in customer's cars.

Yeah, but now I want to have some fun with it. Do I go with ones of those Lime rental scooters? Greyhound bus? Ice Cream van? Garbage Truck? It's too bad circus trains aren't more common nowadays.

I vote for mounting it to a small plane.

I've had my first Stinger for well over six years. Ima sure Ima OCD. That's why it still looks new. Today I got out the bin with a gallon of water and got the cat "presence" off my hood, then cleaned the rear as it was getting a bit grimy, no actual visible dirt unless you got up close and scrutinized, which I of course did. Then the OCD part, I saw a 3/32" round imperfection high up in the piano black panel behind the driver's window, just below the dark chrome. Water didn't faze it, alcohol same story. Used rubbing compound for c. half an hour, and finished up with polishing compound. It was just one random mark, who knows from what. But I feel better.

Wrapped the silver hood vent accent pieces.

As the only enjoyer of the Kia Black chrome on the whole Internet I added more to my car. This was meant to be practice working with vinyl for an eventual side stripe. but turned out to be a torture test. Ended up fully removing the vents and accent pieces and still took about 6 attempts to get a finish on the ends that I was happy with.

Wanted to do the vertical inlet pieces on the bumper but need to do more digging on how to remove them.

In the end I love the way it blends with both the gloss black of the vents and ties them in with the other front end dark chrome accents.

Drove around in the wet seeing how much smoke i could pump out my tailpipes.

Decision now is to refit the factory cats, or keep these dump pipes and get my turbos modified to pump the jam a little better and not leak oil into the exh system!!

Thanks for the like @Big Trev who doesn't even own a KIA yet joined up here to troll me.

I have spoken to a shop about rebuilding these things for $4500 exchange so burning oil is no longer an issue, plus the inducer and exducer wheels will be a couple of mm larger and they will be hand porting the housings... just looks like a lot of fun removing them myself haha

Fitted the Burger Motorsport diff brace...

Just wish shops would throw a sticker or two in with their product seeing as the exchange rate sucks and all that.

Didn't get one with the catch can that cost nearly $400 landed here and now the same amount again for the diff brace.

Aussie shops throw in stickers aplenty and /or a bag of jelly beans no shit.

Licorice allsorts and a mouse pad/ stubby cooler and metal beer coaster came with an Atomic product for my Barra a few years ago :)

Anyway... it's an awesome product and as soon as i have my NEW dump pipes bolted up i will take it for a thrashing... ah i mean test drive...

Sounds simple enough, but would go a long way to me deciding who's intercooler to purchase especially when whatever your price is, will be another 60% again plus shipping at the current rate !

Peace

I think I have BMS stuff at home you can have. And much more. I never use the stickers they give me. Will have a look and report back.

Cheers bud . ;)

Replaced all OEM brake pads today, front and back, with EBC redstuff.
Car only has 1,800 miles on it, so no need to do anything else. Rotors were still good.
I actually had my dealer do it. I'm getting too old to do this stuff in the driveway.
Took them less than an hour and only charged me the one hour in labour.
The brakes definitely grab harder. I'll have to get used to it.
Hopefully no issues in the future with contaminated rotors or brake pulsing.

I've never been a fan of the piano black vents. I replaced my hood vents with carbon fibre vents, as well as the side vents on the front fender, (between the wheel and front door.). I haven't done the front bumper vents yet, but I'm thinking about it.

Diff brace feels really solid i still have wheel spin issues but the car definitely feels more planted on initial take off...

They really do need something to curb the squirm.

BTW, Have not forgotten about stickers. Just on my 5th 12hr shift so haven't had much spare time. Plus I have too much crap in my garage so it'll take time.

There's no aftermarket option. I tried to fabricate one from aluminum, and couldn't close the hood. It is pretty tight. Will try thinner steel.
