Can we assume from your lack of posting - that your car was not finished on schedule?Just dropped off our stinger at our dealer... said it should be ready this evening!
it was finished on schedule! picked up at 5:30! everything looks great, have driven it now over 200 miles since, coolant level is perfect. Can we assume from your lack of posting - that your car was not finished on schedule?
Hopefully I am incorrect.
nope, sounds like either they didn't schedule properly or they ran into issues.I called and was told the recall would take 5 hours, I went to drop it off yesterday morning and then was told it could take 3 days. So I just called and was told they would call me back with an update. This isn't sounding good?
Everything is fine, as long as you don't leave your car with them while you wait for them to "call you back."I called and was told the recall would take 5 hours, I went to drop it off yesterday morning and then was told it could take 3 days. So I just called and was told they would call me back with an update. This isn't sounding good?
I just saw the article that said the cyberattack has affected many Kia dealers so wondering if that is what happened to me since I was told 5 hours to repair but now they couldn't order parts until the car was onsite since its VIN dependent (what I was told), and now told parts won't be in till Monday and it will be ready Monday/Tuesday.Any of you folks' dealers affected by the CDK shutdown?
Thanks. Hoping the right coast will get it together!SoCal data point: Kia of Carson seems to have pulled through with a clean recall experience. They said it would take about 3 days, so I dropped my car off Tuesday morning. Got a loaner (Forte GT-Line) and got the text Friday morning that it was done. Picked it up, drove 30 miles back home (w/ plenty of turbo/throttle), and engine temp was stable around 200F-210F. Popped the hood when I got back home, and everything looked/smelled fine. Takes me an hour each way to get there with traffic, but glad I made the trip instead of going to more questionable dealerships closer to me.
Is your coolant level in your overflow reservoir stable? Not decreasing?Well mine was a disaster. So they didn’t start working on the car till Tuesday after i dropped it off by appointment last Thursday 9am. Car had to burp overnight and then went and got the car Wednesday. Have driven it about 75 miles and it seems fine. So in total had the car for 6 days and not once did they offer me a loaner or ask how I was getting to work.
When I picked it up the service manager says you will get a survey, if you can’t give us great reviews please don’t do any of it but give us another chance to make it better. I explained to him that had an appointment and the part wasn’t ordered till Friday even though I dropped it off Thursday. Blah blah blah
Glad most of you all got your car back in 1 day. I am waiting till I get like 1000 miles on it before driving it somewhat hard.
the oil is goodIs your coolant level in your overflow reservoir stable? Not decreasing?
Oil level? Did they correctly refill it?
There are 2 lines - low and full.the oil is good
now this will sound stupid. On all my prior vehicles (Ford) i could easily see the coolant overflow but on this I cant. I think its the thing up front on the right but had to unscrew and remove a long white/clear looking thing. So cant really see with my eye if there is anything in there.
should there be some in there and if so how much? I have only driven it home after picking it up and then yesterday for about 30 miles. The car is cold now but will drive it out today and temps are expected to be in the low-mid 90's
Thanks for your help!
