Feedback on the BMS TCU has been really good! We've optimized shift points, increased line pressure, reduced shift time, and set the car up for full time brake boosting without the need of adding a brake boost switch. All this while keeping overall operation smooth and seamless just like factory.

Our TCU is compatible with the JB4 tuning, flash only tunes, stock tuning, or anything in between!

It's loaded via the SXTH EK1 (which we also stock if needed), and the BMS TCU map is currently $75. A whole lot of work goes in to each file so we plan to raise the price in a few weeks to $150 so we can actually earn some profit on it. Considering some tuners still charge $1000+ for their TCU flashes it's going to be a steal no matter what price you get it at! But who doesn't like to save a few bucks? Get while the getting is good and if your calibration isn't posted yet just email me terry@burgertuning.com and I'll work on it!

Thanks Terry.

Already emailed support about it so no rush but eagerly awaiting it to get added for my calibration ID. Will purchase once its up.

So with this tune we can just push brake and gas pedal and it will start building up boost, no matter what driving mode are we in or if tc/ss is on or off? And factory launch is gone or how will those two live together?

Great news Terry, can't wait. I'll be back home in a couple of weeks and will email you for sure.

I am on a JB4 map 4 tune on e30 and love it. Is this probably my next solid move for improvement? Thanks

Correct we replace launch mode which sucks with simple brake boosting. Brake boosting works in any mode/setting!

Any chance us 2.5T guys will see this any time soon?

I don't see why not, but I don't know if sxth offers 2.5t support yet. Have you asked them?

I just sent them an email. Got an automated reply with a case number, so hopefully I'll get an answer soon.

I can confirm that the TCU (and BEF) tune is stellar. I’ve got close to 1k miles on them since the flash. I will say it took me a little while to get familiar with what was going on, but it’s really settled in. Sport mode is an absolute beast! And comfort mode is actually enjoyable. I never or rarely drove in comfort mode previously. Great job as usual Terry@BMS I’m now working with the different Maps to start dialing in the BEF.

Just got a reply back from SXTH. No ETA on 2.5T support.

2.5T still not getting love and it's been adopted on more platforms, so not sure why there's not more aftermarket support. I wonder if their will even be any development of another generation of ICEs to replace the 2.5T with everything moving towards EV in the next years...why would any OEM spend the money/R&D?

I don't think "no ETA" mean they aren't planning on it. It could just be not in a boiling pot on the front burner, almost ready to serve. With the demise of the Stinger, G70 is the only remaining platform for the 3.3T... if you don't count the K9/K900, deleted from the US line up back in 2021.

OTOH, 2.5T is in a whole plethora of current Hyundai/Kia/Genesis models, FWD and RWD. With EV sales hitting some serious speed bumps, ICE is sure to stay around for quite some time to come, probably with more hybridized versions joining their ranks soon.

Yeah I'd love to offer a 2.5T BEF also. I hope they add support soon!

so we buy a Ek1, and then email/purchase the TCU tune from you, correct?
is the Tune like the JB4 where is has different options, or do we fill out some type of sheet and you send up the tune to upload into the tuner?
i've been loving the JB4 for what i do with the car, hell ive been on map 2 for almost a year and perfectly happy with it. so been thinking about TCU's, perfect timing.

We have our BEF and TCU maps posted to sxth site so you purchase them there to load via the EK1. The main factor on what BEF you get is what fuel you use, E85 mixture or only pump gas. For the TCU we've made it pretty universal. In both cases we can do customizations for a small fee if there are unique circumstances that dictate it like larger turbos, subpar fuel, etc.

Hey all,

From Australia - Looking into getting my Jb4 first but down the line want to get the BMS ECU & TCU flash tune to make it a smoother ride :)

1. I buy a EKmini2+ Handheld Tuning Device from local (cherry tuning)
2. Go to Sixth site and download the BMS ECU or TCU tune onto the handheld device and then flash my stinger
3. Use the Jb4 to log data / runs and send to Terry if there are any questions
4 I will be running 98 Octane Petrol (Australian)

Last question - how much strain does TCU put on the stinger transmissions? Are people blowing more? lol

Thanks :)

Will be getting this BMS TCU tune over the next few days!! Cant wait.

BTW Does anyone have any guide/walkthrough for batching/loading/writing TCU tunes on the Stinger? Every guide Ive found only talks about the ECU flash process.. but Ive read that works a bit differently than flashing TCU tune? Is that true or false?
