Exhaust tips (2022)

I've got the 2022 gt with the chrome surround on the exhaust, I understand I'll need to remove the chrome and get size A hovered which inlet length should I get ?

Hey y'all, just figured I would follow up here. Looks like mine is a similar setup to Buklau. The tips definitely stick out a bit more than stock, but this could be adjusted to sit further in.

These tips:

you got 'IN 54 OUT Size A'? A little confused on which one to choose. Thanks!
My research points towards 63mm inlet(2.5 inches which my MBRP is) and Type C which is 105-130mm. Unfortunately as of yesterday, these were out of stock on Ali

54 IN, Size C out. It appears that the 54 fit just fine on the stock pipes after cutting the factory tips back a bit. I had an exhaust shop do it for me, but he was able to slide them over the factory pipes, clamped them down with the provided clamps and tacked them a couple times on each tip to make sure they would never go anywhere.

Also, the fake tips are kind of a pain to get off. They are both basically part of a bracket that is attached via 4 screws (2 on bottom, two on top) the bottom screws being no problem, the top ones ain't so easy, just FYI.

Sweet! Thanks guys!

Also, if it says the item is out of stock, just send the seller a message and they can probably sort it out for you. Pretty sure I had to do that for at least one of the sets of tips I have.

Your tips are touching the plastic, doesn't that cause vibrations in the car or issues?
It looks great! are you happy? Any videos?

I haven't noticed anything significant. I'm pretty happy with it. I had another video I had previously posted on here somewhere of my exhaust setup before the tips, the tips didn't change the tone outside of the car too much.

@AdrianG Did your guy not use any flexpipe or anything? How did he center the MBRP? Mine arn't exactly centered. I also can't get the screw out it sits right infront of the crash pillar and i don't want to remove the whole bumper. Thanks for any input.

I don't have an MBRP. Stock exhaust aside from the downpipes.
Are you talking about the screws that keep the fake factory tips in place?

I did this, much easier but the two little screws that are up inside the bumper are a pain to get it. I have the MBRP and I had to move the mufflers around a bit to get the tips to line up.

I managed to get the PITA screw out, now my problem is i can't get the metal exhaust tip out because it needs to go forward and then it gets stuck on the exhaust ends. I release the muffler hangers but that's not enough to move it out of the way. Next step i guess is to detach the whole muffler from the center pipes?

I'm looking to get some tips to reduce drone in the cabin from my catback exhaust. Considering it's been some time, do you recall if you noticed a difference in sound reduction in the cabin? Would you still recommend these tips now that you've had it for some time?

any tips will do, so long as they attach to the muffler's pipes and protrude past the diffuser in the bumper.

Thanks for the confirmation! I'm also curious if the suggested exhaust tips from Aliexpress were any good - the last thing I want is them melting or deteriorating over time.

As a cheaper alternative see this thread as well:

I’ve had stainless tips from aliexpress since late 2020 and there's been no melting, even after 4 hour road trips. The “carbon fiber” ones tend to discolor, but the black or stainless ones hold up fine.

I tried the exhaust wrap first, and while yes it can work, I’ve never come across a nastier substance to work with. Fiberglass shards everywhere. I also had to refasten it a few times. The tips, I haven’t had to touch since I installed in 2020 except for a light polish late 2023.
