Will make a second video with the installation (which is very easy) and upload a sample video.

It's a dash cam. It records the outside of the car.
This is how the prototype looks like. Note, this is just 1080p. The final product above (which I didn't yet get a video with) is 4K.

So I’m most likely going to purchase but I’m not sure on just the front, or front & rear together?

The one thing I’m concerned with is if the rear dashcam will take up any visibility from our hatch window?

Or let’s say if I purchase both and decide to not use the rear because it impedes my vision, can I just disconnect it and continue using the front without any issues?

The front will definitely work without the rear one. I didn't get the rear because I jud didn't feel the need for it. I also didn't want to worry about how I place the cable from the front to the rear.
I'm not sure how bad it impedes visibility.

Not sure how a rear dash cam could compromise your vision , I have the ThinkWare 3000 front and rear and I don't even know it's back there till I open the hatch and see it.
Already save me from liability in one accident
The 5% tint on rear glass does impair cam vision just a little bit, but it still good

As far as I know, there are only 2 versions of the mirror cover. The pre and post facelift. Depending on the market, the facelift was launched in 2021 or 2022.

Yeah, definitely not leaving the cable to just hang in the gap.. If I do it, I'm routing it beside the wires going to the hatch..

Sorry guys, I had some trouble with the shipping to China. The package came back to Europe and I had to send it again.
What I know for sure is that it's happening but don't know when the prototype will be ready.

Would someone be interested to receive, install and test the prototype? It will be a bright green, lower quality part. But it will be free.
I can't do it myself because it won't fit my car.
