Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Yes. But needs a bigger cooler for the track.
That’s what I thought. I don’t track and my temps rarely ever go past 170

Hey everyone I have a little bit of a controversial topic or one that just has mixed opinions. So I was hoping to get some more opinions. Okay let’s say you are running E60-E70 in your car.. Is it a good idea to still use the 2step colder plugs- (HKS-M45iL etc?) Or because ethanol burns colder it is not needed?

Another fun question. Has anyone ran their car at sea level and also ran it at some decent altitude? (Above 3k feet elevation,) I know the standard conversion rate for turbo cars- but specifically curios about our car. I am always in the weeds with something.

I live in the California Sierra Nevada foothills at an elevation of about 3600 feet.
I have also raced at Sacramento Raceway (RIP) which is near sea level. I obviously don’t have anything like a time slip from when I am at altitude, but it definitely seems to have less power than at lower altitude.

It depends on how hard you drive, regardless of fuel.

No dragy for each by chance? I live at 4,500ft elevation so I am just very curious what time (ish) I would be at sea level. Conversation tables are too general.

There is a part controlled by the ECU for turbo durability according to elevation.
In fact, as the atmospheric pressure decreases, the intake efficiency decreases and the boost decreases.

Just throwing this out there.. What is the highest level of E someone has ran in Sub-freezing temps 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit to be more precise. As soon as it gets cold the fuel trims really get higher.

Hi,
Please rate my log. Lozic ecu 1.5 bar, tcu Lozic, intake Injen, Wagner intercooler, met injection. What do you think, I cannot improve the acceleration time of 100-200 km (about 10.5 seconds)

Regards,
Bogdan

your pulling upwards of 6 degrees on one of the pulls. but other than pulling timing this is actually one of the best lozic logs ive ever seen, boost looks good, ign timing looks good, fuel pressure is great, trims are great.

when doing a 100-200kmh are you starting in 2nd gear at around 56kmh? thats where you should be starting then manual shift at 5900 rpm every gear.

if your starting at exactly 100kmh your gonna be slow and if your letting it manual shift its gonna be slow.

hopefully this helps

This looks like it is right after the ECU was reset is that correct? Maybe after it has made it all the way through the “adaptation” phase. Post another log. But yes I agree with sneakerB overall good log.

Yes, the measurement was made after replacing the ECU. Thank you, gentlemen for yours valuable comment regarding the acceleration technique. So far I have done it at a speed of about 90 km and full throttle.
What do you think about exhaust upgrade- cat back and secondary downpipes?

Bogdan

IMO- this will be mainly be for sound. Unfortunately on our cars this provides very little HP improvements. Still a little bit but not worth it if you are only do it for performance. But if you love the sound then go for it! Our cars tune and fueling is most important/impactful. Post a log once it has fully reset.

Replacing the ECU doesn't mean a full reset?

Exhaust and secondarys. Are pretty much pointless other than noise

So after you put the new ECU in it will go through the “adaptions value” phase. Basically a learning phase for the ECU. The ECU is learning what fuel you have and all other outside factors. It does this before fully advancing the timing and allowing the car the most power etc. Hopefully that made sense!
So in the log IGN 2-6 will show 2.3 on all cylinders at first. Then after a few pulls it will go down to 1.5. Then a few more 0.8. Then a few more 0.0- then it is “fully reset” probably not the best terminology. Sometimes this takes 3/4 tank unfortunately. But once that happens the log will show you the true potential of the tune and also any issues. Also will be faster usually then too.
